One of the finest remaining examples of a classical coastal artillery fort is due to reopen to the public in April following extensive restoration works. Fortifications at Camden Fort Meagher in Cork Harbour date back to the mid-1500s, and is seen as central to ambitious heritage tourism plans for the world's second largest natural harbour.
