Camelbak Sparta Crux Backpack

If you experience issues with the shoulder straps not staying where you set them, double check the tensioner has been sewed on to the webbing the correct way around. I returned the 1st one I ordered as the one side had been installed back to front and kept sliding down the webbing.
I owned three Camelbak HAWG’s before upsizing to the Sparta. The Sparta fixes a lot of the issues with the HAWG. It has an internal frame sheet so keeps it shape. It also stands upright on its own.
The HAWG was always just too small and the Sparta has more than enough space without getting too bulky.
The harness system on the Sparta is better suited for heavier loads compared to the HAWG.
Another pack to consider is the Arc’teryx Assault 30. Unfortunately no longer available to the general public.
