Actually Psychoshock is the best of the abilitys cause once you hit a Typhon it will prevent it from using special abilitys and deals damage. since they cant use any ranged attacks you can casually walk up to them and shot em with your shotgun.

I made nightmare killing totally risk-free with psychoshock 1, combat focus 3 and a fully upgraded shotgun

You forgot one of the most useful ones. Phantom genesis. There is alot of bodies lyng around. Make them your allies.

Psychoshock is my favorite. It’s like turning your game into easy mode if it’s a 1v1. Anything above a 1v1 kinetic blast is the way to go.

what about psychoshock? renders Telepaths and Techies useless, Rank 3 straight up kills regular phantoms, except maybe on the harder difficulties, and renders etheric, voltaic, and therms melee range only

Mimic rank 3 allows you to mimic turrets and operators and it makes you invulnerable..... and the operator’s taser can stun lock enemies

I find that my most used combination against tough enemies seems to be using the combat focus ability, running across the room like lightning and offloading an entire shotgun magazine into the face(?) of the Telepath or Technopath or whatever else it is. The time dilation makes it possible to shoot them a lot before they get a chance to retaliate.

I'd have to say my top 5 Typhon abilitys would be Mimic Matter-the same reason you have Kinetic Blast- both as a attack and i can move leverage three objects without the upgrade Psychoshock- I definitely enjoy pegging a poltergeist or technopath with this and then beating them with the wrench Phantom Shift- same reason Regeneration it definitely lowers the amount of health packs you need Also im at the power generation area after the arboretum. How close am I to finishing the game?

silver wind08 I know it's a bit late but you might want to save at the part where you scan something called "coral" because that's the last part when you can explore the game.

Best way to kill phantoms;" normal phantoms, that is", is to sneak up- hit them in the back with the wrench, and then stand on them(standing on them makes them rag doll) and continuously hit him/her with the wrench until their dead. This tactic helped me a lot with my nightmare play- through, no mods, and no human kills run.

This game sat in my library for a year. I had played the first hour or so and stopped. Picked it up two days ago and CANT. STOP. PLAYING. This is such an polished, kickass game. Narrative is great, too.

that storage area @1:16 theres a corner where you can shoot the door button with the boltcaster. I've checked every area 100% except the shuttle bay, and there was always a nontyphon way to get in. they say it in the beginning that you can play your way, so there's usually several alternatives

Instead of using points and psi meter opening security doors etc just shoot computers and door buttons with the huntress boltcaster, a blob of gloo to stand on and you can aim right through the small kiosk at security booths and hit both the doors and the computers to download maps/open the booth, enjoy the extra neuromods elsewhere :)

Why is no-one talking about Superthermal? It's epic as a damage ability, heck, I once killed a nightmare and a technopath (WHICH WERE SIDE BY SIDE) with superthermal.

lol and nice i accidentally cheseed a nightmare I was running away from at first but then the nightmare got distracted by a turret I hacked and then got itself stuck on the railing just staring at me I used superthemal and electroshock and kinetic blast to kill it really fast then I went to make more neuromods but I had to get the DRM thing lifted ( thanks all lot halden Graves).

Kinetic Blast is meh, I'd have personally put that Psychoshock ability instead (that is what its called right?) It does fairly decent damage, does no use ammo (obvs) and it may benefit from stealth bonus (im not sure about this, but I remember an instance when I was stealthed and I insta-killed a thermal phantom with psychoshock; the ability did so much damage!) and the ability nullifies the Psi powers of the target. Ofc, each to his own.

Mimic is ok as a pre-request skill. But the regeneration is the real reason you should be getting this. I took all the damage reducing skills on my play trough and by the end it was impossible to kill me on hard. I think it broke the game because even the final giant typhon that blocked off some areas didn't kill me and I just walked trough them.

I found most useful Machine Mind and Mindjack. Why fight enemies, when they can do it themselves? With Military Operators it allows unlimited source of spare parts :)

DGneoseeker1 You can. The damage you deal is kinda lame but you last a lot longer than normal turrets cause you can’t fall over and Phantoms have to chew through your additional turret health bar

It's a good video but Psychoshock is probably the single best ability in the game and isn't on the list? It works on every enemy, nullifies abilities, puts them in a weakened state, and level III straight up deletes lesser mobs.

He's not wrong just finished the game no typhon abilities using the xbow for the same reason if you can't see th button all you have to do is bank the dart off an object into it, they have a fairly predictable flight path and a decently long one too

You can also use the boltcaster to knock a chipset item towards you from inside the broken escape pod. It is a massive pain in the arse to actually pull off though.
