What do you see? Is your camera pointed at your drawing surface? Did you select the "back" camera?

Is your iPad tilted or is it parallel over the paper? I thought it had to be directly over the paper.

Sierra was using her iPad at a tilt and you are correct that this can cause issues. However, the app does have controls to correct for perspective issues.
