Thanks for this Cam! Hunting stories are the best especially coming from the best. As a newer bow hunter learning on his own, the wisdom you share with these stories are priceless. A man can never feel lonelier than in a deep wilderness hunt solo. Especially when the whole journey has been alone as well. Can’t wait for the next episode of this series.

I love hearing you talk about your life and tell your stories! It makes me realize how few adventures I've had, how low of quality my friends are, and really makes me wish I grew up with a father who wanted to be my friend and spend time with me. I feel like you're a really good influence in my life and I haven't had many of those people around, so thank you very much! ✌️

Cameron Hanes is without a doubt one of my biggest inspirations and has become my hero. His relentless passion for pushing past his limits and making the most out of every day has had a profound impact on my life. I wake up with the "Keep Hammering" mentality every day, thanks to his constant motivation and determination. One of the biggest ways Cameron Hanes has impacted my life is through his love for archery. After watching him conquer incredible challenges and push himself to the limit, I was inspired to pick up a bow and arrow myself. His dedication to the sport and incredible skill have motivated me to pursue archery and continuously work towards improvement. I can't express enough how grateful I am to Cameron Hanes for being such an incredible role model. His determination, positivity, and unwavering commitment to excellence have taught me the importance of pushing past my limits and striving for greatness in everything I do. I truly believe that I am a better, stronger, and more driven person because of him. I would love the opportunity to thank Cameron Hanes personally for the impact he has had on my life. His example has inspired me to be the best version of myself, and I am forever grateful for the motivation and determination he has instilled in me. Thank you, Cameron Hanes, for being a true inspiration and for helping me become the best version of myself. V/r Ryan Thurman

I’m not happy when I don’t succeed. I’m very happy when I do succeed. I don’t worry about other men who get jealous or spend their time bashing others. My philosophy? You do you and I’ll do me. To quote Tom Miranda, “I just love bowhunting”. I hunted more in 2023 than I’ve ever hunted and nowhere near the shape I needed to be in. I’m coming off 2 leg injuries in back to back years the previous 2 years and finally while hunting AZ in December I felt like both injuries have healed. The first was a nasty break and when that healed I tore my meniscus on the other leg a day before killing an elk in the Gila Wilderness. Talk about a painful pack out. Watching the Roy videos and Cam’s adventures the last month have inspired me to get in the best shape of my life before September. I’ve lost 10 pounds in 3 weeks and have another 10 to go to get to my target weight of 205. Keep hammering and keep grinding! You are definitely an inspiration Cam!

I'm new to it, and it's a result of my laziness. I'll admit that, but that shit is done! Where do I start brother? Thanks and God bless

I liked you rant on making no excuse for hunting and taking as many animals as you do. It's hard to explain that to people and make them understand. If your explanation doesn't clear it up for em, nothing will. Congrats on a great season, I really enjoy all of your podcasts. Keep hammering brother.

Just want to say thank you for the inspiration you make awesome videos and tell great stories. I’ve been shooting my bow for about a year now I have target set in my backyard. Hoping to someday go on a hunt and be able to harvest something. Never have done it before but think about it and what it would be like can you point me in Any kind of direction or send me some information to how I can get my first hunt. I live in Southern California and there is not really anything to hunt out here. I’ve looked everywhere up in the hills they say there is deer but I’ve only found one skull. lol thanks for your help. Keep up the good work you’re the man.

Loved all the videos this year. Hats off Tanner on the camera and videos. Cam keep up the good work. I don't want to sound like a dick but I wish you didn't feel the need to justify the hunts or number of kills to people who won't or don't understand. The probability of changing their views is slim. Your fans love it and it shows respect to the environment and to the animals. Can't wait for more to come.

Yes, One of the newly Governor-appointed Game Commission members has stated that Colorado is at the point with predators that 'we no longer need hunters' for managing wildlife. Gun control, elimination of hunting, non-stop attacks on those of us that love and support scientific wildlife management. So disappointing, but we are still hammering! Thanks for your comments Cam.
@Reed41110 ай бұрын
Let me ask you something. IF and this is a big if. But if Colorado was able to subsidize CPW and replace all of the revenue from game tags, wouldn’t an intact ecosystem where the predator pray relationship is balanced be the very best thing for Colorado? Not a lot of places have that anymore.
@johnoltrogge633310 ай бұрын
Thank you, but no, because the typical predator-prey relationship runs in roughly seven year cycles. When prey animals (food) multiplies then the predators multiply in response until they destroy their food supply, then they die off too, until the remaining food animals multiply again, etc. Unfortunately, the habitat has been divided into unnatural blocks, so there can easily be areas where animals will go extinct. Scientific management of wildlife, in conjunction with hunting, can more quickly respond to save animals from extinction as we have repeatedly seen happen in Earth's history long before the modern hunting era. There is never a lasting balance; it's forever changing due to habitat, climate, and human encroachment.@@Reed411

Maybe an off topic question, but I'm curious if anyone tried hunting in barefoot shoes, like Vibram FiveFingers or VivoBarefoot? I ask because I see the practice of sneaking up on animals in socks when the situation requires stealth and those shoes are pretty thin and flexable. I understand that cold, rough terrain, rain, snow might not be ideal for such shoes, but they do produce outdoor / hiking models.

Cam, I’ve been seeing a lot of people popping off about how you and Joe hunt private land and how Joe doesn’t know what it’s like hunting public land. I think you should do a whole season hunting public land only and take Joe with you so people can see that it’s the Indian and not the arrow. #keephammering

I get that you are a provider but how many of the people that you bring into the hunting community share that ethos? How many of them just get into it for the horns and likes? Conservatively, it would be the vast majority. When I look at your social media stuff it does not resonate with promoting the "provider-hunter" life style, it resonates with posting horns and obtaining followers. When the cost per lb of the game you harvest is so astronomical, it doesn't look like your doing it to feed your community, it looks like your doing it to feed your ego. Just my 2 cents. As you were.
