I'm glad somebody isn't afraid to call MAPerformance out. Their product looks amazing and I would gladly purchase it but they seriously need to rethink their price point. This is an exhaust system for a HONDA CIVIC, not a high end exotic... there is no excuse for an exhaust to cost almost $2k. "What the Hill guys..." Just my thoughts though....

Great job on this one. Some nice creative camera angles and content. My car looks exactly like yours, with all the same stuff. The only difference is that I have the flex fuel system I just started using the Phearable 2.5 tune. It's really quite good. The Twostep version is good too but I think I like the Phearable better.

@@Camhill182 No. I did a preemptive change. I went with the Clutch Masters FX250. It's a street clutch that has ~ twice the holding power of the stock clutch.

Hey cam, I’ve been watching your videos ever since you got your 10th SI. I would really hate to see it go you have made great content with it and built up a great channel. It’s such a great platform and has a large Community. It’s a respected vehicle and people love it. I personally think you should keep it and push with the upgrades prl flex fuel kit, big turbo install down the road custom tunes from Drob more races more dragway content maybe a body kit that’s just my opinion. I think your channel will grow even more with that content and the 10th gen SI it’s just one of your loyal fans opinion.

I have a full turboback exhaust on my 2019 Si from AFE, Its not the loudest exhaust but I actually like that. Its just a preference thing. I bought the catted downpipe from them and I like the noise level.

Id start with a nice exhaust system! The Full Race and Q300 would be great only IF you plan on getting a downpipe down the road. Reason I say that is, those exhausts are really quiet

Yeah it makes it easier if you live somewhere that gets snow because it make an AWD platform almost a must have but down south it definitely makes it a harder decision. Ig it really boils down to which platform you like more and what your goals are

I finally got my 10th gen si broken turbo stud drilled out today, spent so much unnecessary time and money. My personal mechanic charged me $220 (which is a good price). For anyone reading this that has a 10th gen planning on getting a downpipe, there is a 60-70% chance at least ONE turbo stud WILL SNAP!!! And it’s a pain if you don’t have a mechanic friend. Be careful everyone! My car only had 2300miles on it when this happened. Also make sure you DONT put your old heat shields on your new dp, silicon coat it and thermal wrap is much better:)

Wow, that’s a bummer man sorry. I got 14k on my 2020 Si sedan, got it one year ago on the 21st!!! Fully stock besides the nice touches in the cabin from amazon lol drives like a dream. Don’t wanna mess with the warranty but will probably at least get CAI soon for it, eventually tune and Intercooler and exhaust. ThTs basically it though.

@@Roberto-ih3zx it’s because Honda puts a special lock tight on these studs so no one touches the catalytic converters. To try and prevent this from happening DO NOT try and remove these bolts with warm cool. Let your car cool off for at least a few hours, and let some pb blaster soak those bolts for 30mins or so

I love your car! Sound and performance! In terms of PERFORMANCE you are correct DP typically for catless and for catted even if same cell (200 for example) airflow can change of design pattern is different. But your science is a bit off for them all being the same on aspect of Sound. Sound isn’t just determined by materials. Lengths cancel frequency of sound waves to tune sound and are done with the slightest changes! But love videos!

I got the RV6 catted dp. It throws a P0139 CEL code. Probably the same code as your dp. RV6 recommended I turn the defouler in a couple of turns. I did and it still throwed the same CEL. Today I extended my O2 cable and screwed the sensor directly into the dp. No CEL yet. My friend., who is also a Texas state inspector, said that I couldn't just disable the P0139 code with Ktuner and pass state inspection. My friend also has a 2017 Si coup has a PRL catted dp also extended her cable. If I now get a different CEL she knows what to do so I can pass. I will ask her about the software technique she uses to pass if I need.

Get a custom exhaust on the 9th gen. A wider pipe and proper set up would do a lot; I've heard a nice one when I went to a muffler shop.

I just got a 2018 coupe and my first mods were the PRL cobra CAI, PRL FMIC with charge pipes and ktuner v2 with phearable stage 1.5 race and it made a huge difference. Next mods are the maperformance catted DP with FP which have just been ordered, very excited for those. Next I'll be doing frontpipe back and lowering springs with camber arms and wheels/tires just not sure which is gonna be first, waiting to see if the sound from the DP and FP is enough to hold me over and let me do some suspension stuff first

If you have the race maf intake I'm guessing you're using a tuner to mitigate the CEL the race maf would throw, so I can't imagine you should have a problem... you're running a tuner right? (KT/ Hondata)

Depends how you look at it. Being turbo charged there is the exhaust manifold with turbo, front pipe, down pipe (catted or not), then exhaust.
