Guys!!! The aesthetic of this video and those outfits have a lot of Latino references from the 70s and 80s. The person that opened the door to her it's supposed to be someone like Walter Mercado, that was a tarotist with an horoscope TV show, the person in green has an outfits very similar to toreros suits but at the same time seems a tipical taky look from the early 80s, and even seems like an outfit that Juan Gabriel, an inconic Mexican singer, could wear in his most extravagant years. The photography, decoration and colors remember the Almodovar old movies or the Frida Kahlo movie. She was born in Cuba, her mom is Cuban and her dad is Mexican, she lived in Mexico before they were to the USA. But the instrumental, and the visuals on the video represent the whole Latin America in the 70s/80s.

That traditional... Latin music!! She’s fully leaning to the more traditional sound vs the sound current Latin artist are doing... urban. She talked about living with her family during the pandemic and this sound was something was constantly around her house and that old school Latin music her parents and family listened to.... as she said, buying a cheap disco ball and have fun... fiesta music.

the music video is based on 50’s-60’s hispanic families as well as the song. i believe it’s such an amazing concept to incorporate not only your heritage and representing hispanics and latinoamericanos but also singing it in english. as a fan of camila’s since day 1, it’s pretty different from her previous projects, but as a latino myself i love love love the concept of the new project so far

The first time I heard this song I thought for a moment it could have Colombian inspiration, but yeah, Cuba and Puerto Rico are the ones who spread this specific sound and vibe to the Latino culture, maybe you thought it was Colombian vibes because in Colombia, traditional Salsa is faster, also the way to dance it, so this may be the reason.
