Great advice. My husband (69)and I (68) did the Porto then the Frances last fall. We are both retired so time wasn’t a problem. We both have knee issues so we walked slow. Some days eight miles or days 15. We are planning to go back in 2026.

I'm so glad you had such a great time you are coming back! We are already talking about doing it again, and next time we'd want more time to slow it down even more. Knowing your pace is key to a good time!

Just found your channel. Love the way you send the message how anyone can do it…their way! We are both 70.5 and this will be our 6th full Camino. Sept we are doing the Frances. We loved the Norte last year. Buen Camino

You're awesome! Often the biggest limits in life are self-imposed. The Camino doesn't have to be one of them, it is available for all of us to do it our own way. Buen Camino! 😀

Every day I look to see if you guys have posted a new video and get excited when I see a new one. I love the enthusiasm and positivity you guys both show when talking about this wonderful experience. And as I’ve said before, you answer so many questions I have. For instance, I saw instagram posting from someone else today that talked about frequent group showers like high school. Has that been your experience? Looking forward to your next video. Have fun and be safe.

Haha I saw that post too! And no, we have not seen any group shower rooms, everything has been private stalls. Sometimes they are so small you might wish for a big room though! lol

Good checklist, many of those reasons are why we want to do the shorter Portuguese coastal route by bike.

I’ve been surprised by how many people do the Camino by bike. Met a Polish biker who rode here all the way from Poland and is doing 100km a day. Definitely an option if that’s what you enjoy.

Glad you're doing this and telling us about the experience. I have no desire to walk/hike like this but I like to see what it's like. I'll never go on a safari but like to see pictures from others! Thanks for the updates.

Thanks for watching! And I get it, we watch a lot of videos about things we are on the fence about. Sometimes we get inspired, and sometimes we think watching the video was enough! 😆

@@veradanson5890 Generally speaking we are both fast walkers, and we share a similar pace. There are times we might get away from each other, but most of the time we are fairly close together. So far anyway! lol
