Love your videos so much. I’m going to walk in Sept from Burgos. It’ll be one of the biggest things I’ll have done alone and I’m excited. These videos are hugely helpful.

Great video! Even without the normal weather, the descent into Zubiri is rough so hope you're okay! Nice start to the series!

I love your comment "down section from hell" LOL I walked El Camino in July 2018 without rain and it was still the "down section from hell"... and it took us also 1hr+. So it doesn't matter sunshine or rain, that stretch in my opinion is the worst of El Camino. New pilgrims are not not really prepared for the type of terrain El Camino offers (just look at your picture of the jagged rocks!). My Camino "family" all still until this day say that was the worst stretch... we all share your opinion. I'm glad you are almost done, I have watched all your videos so far and they all bring good memories... I'm planning to walk again a year from now.... and yes I will be love-hating walking the section from hell. LoL... Buen Camino!

What was the restaurant in Zubiri?

Restaurante -Gau Txori- Jatetxea. We stayed at their hotel this year (2024). It's at the other end of town from where you walk in over the bridge.

“Why do we do the Camino”? As we know, you really have to have done the Camino to answer that eh, you can’t really put it into words that really explain it. Kia kaha mate
