Awesome stage Nadine (mine was awesome 👍 today too, from Beasain to Agurain) and I think that I'm staying at the same room as you did. 😊

Great idea, taking along that heating element. I've had a couple of these in my stuff for years, but because I either car, backpacked or tent camped. I never carried one with me. Well now as I try to develop my Camino plans, I will certainly add the heating element into my essentials list along with instant coffee and sweetner. Thank you.

Buen Camino. I've only walked one camino but it was the "full Frances", as we caminotarians say. I'm very happy that I used walking poles all the way. After I got fit - after 2+ weeks or so, using poles uphill was like having 2 extra legs. But they were most useful during descents - most falls happen during descents, I think. I'm pretty sure I saved my leg from breaking one evening after a very long day. I was tired, rushing down a path which had become the usual heavily eroded gully full of rounded, weather/water-worn rocks. My ankle wobbled on a little stack of round rocks and my shin-bone started to twist, so in the last split-second I hopped up onto my poles. Every downward step has one's ankle taking all one's body weight, plus pack - all of this weight accelerating downwards onto a single ankle at a time. Nadine, you know all this of course. But I can't recommend good poles highly enough. Some folks say they take 10%+ effort off your legs! Thanks for another inspiring video. See you out there one day.

Each time I view your adventures I get more excited about doing it myself. Bought my first ever backpack for hiking, a Gregory Maven and I’ve walked with it on my back quite a bit. Maybe next year Spain.

Beautiful scenery! If you enjoy the caminos in northern Spain, check out the Camino Primitivo from Oviedo. The scenery is stunning, and on many mornings, you will be walking with fog in the valley below you. I walked it last year and loved it. At the end of August, I'm debating starting either from Madrid or Toledo (still haven't decided). I'd like to avoid the camino frances. While it is a great camino, it is just too crowded these days....

In the north, people make jokes saying that the forecasts are always worse than the actuals because the goverment wants to move the turists to the south.
