Nice video man, been waiting to see what the 600d can do in exteriors. You can read all the lux specs in the world but you never know with LED until you see it in real world applications. Did you find time to test the 600D with the fresnel dish (or whatever they call it) that is supposed to add more output? If so what did you think ? Been wrestling with possibly using the 600d in place of a Joker bug on certain shoots. Think its doable ?

If you want to stay with one system, nanlite vs godox vs aputure, which would you go with? Considering all the lights they have in their lineup. As i will want to control lights through an App with an ipad/tablet, for when lights are not really accessible due to height or location., it is easier if it's all the same brand

@ 0:25 the whole scene is more magenta for Aputure shot - how can this light cause the sky and background mountains to shift in balance? :D
@cammackey3 жыл бұрын
Lol you’re seeing things bro 😂. They were shots minutes apart with the same settings. The Aputures color actually looks a little more accurate to life, but I personally prefer the more yellowish tint cause it blends a tiny bit better. For both I would put like a 1/8 green or magenta filter on. But to me it doesn’t matter cause in post I would easily tweak it anyways. But yeah.. you’re seeing stuff brother

Nanlite images look like they were taken with a Xeen Samyang lens and Aputure images look like they were taken with a Zeiss Otus. The color and contrast looks better with the aputure for my eyes. Thanks for the test!

In your full first example with the softbox on the 600d, you're probably bouncing in sunlight, which could be boosting the levels on your face. So you're getting 600d diffused and sunlight bounced.
@cammackey3 жыл бұрын
The first setup, both lights just had the reflector dishes. On the setups with the Octabox, the subject was places in the same exact distance and place with moments of each other so they should be exact results
@joshrainey39823 жыл бұрын
@@cammackey It just seems that the big white front of the softbox could be adding some bounce source. I obviously can't see the light or how the sun was hitting it, so I could be way off. Great channel and love the real talk!

SidusLink is the most massive advantage the Aputure has, besides the ability to charge V-mount batteries even while its powered up. These lamps are frequently going to get used as through-the-window artificial sun, and wireless ability is a huge plus. Wireless on Nanlite is a joke, with their flimsy, short-range WiFi that costs an extra $150.

If you were using the 600d (the non pro version) with batteries, it only allows you to go 50% power, that wasn’t even close to it’s raw power
@C4ProductionsSD10 ай бұрын
I don't know about color accuracy but just looking with the naked eye, the Nanlite look so much more natural and homogeneous with the natural light, whereas the Aputure definitely looks out of place almost like using strobes. After correction they look almost identical.

Great to know! The 600 dollars you'd save by getting the nanlite can buy you two Aputure 200Ds, which can give you the sidus link app effects and act as their own lights or combine them with the nanlite to up it strength
