I own a C5 and jsut wanted to share some experiences to give a scope for the c12: The good: -Its compact and I love that. Close to monitors, no flex. -The strength is decent. C5 has been measured with 8Nm in a review- I do not know how it is measured and if it is higher because of the different leverage from construction. Anyways it feels good and precise. -The Software does what it should- not too many issues. -Works out of the box with the main titles like Iracing /AC/ACC -great bang for the buck -friendly n quick support (at least for firmware issues) the bad: -Overall quality is great BUT some specific things are extreme weakpoints. -After 4 Month my right gearshifter becomes lose and the USB port tends to loose connection when things move too much. -Firmware updates can be tricky and time consuming if you are unlucky.( but cammus will help you) -If you have issues or anything, asking google usually does not help since its a very niche product. After now about 5-6 Month with the C5 I am happy with it- especially since it was a very insane upgrade from my logitech without hurting my wallet too much. But now I love DD wheels so much that Id like a 12Nm wheel. But to be honest I am not sure if I really want to buy a C12 because usually - depending where you live- you pay about 20+ % more if you buy it in your country. And if it has issues, sending it to china n back is a hassle. Also here in Germany there is not many options to buy from and all are significantly more expensive. On the other hand - I am so used to the insanely comfortable form factor that I can hardly imagine to get a "conservative" wheel base. That being said - fanatec support sucks a** so hard that it can barely become worse. So you might still be on the "good side" with a cammus wheel...

The simple (***Fix*** )for Ams2/Pcars2 etc is - lower your steering rotation to 360° degrees in Cammus software - then start ams2 and go to custom if your wheel base is not recognized - then assign steering left and right by going to games inputs to assign left and right steering. The faster rotation due two small turn radius makes it super easy for ams2 to recognize your wheel input. Then restart ams2 and your wheel will work like a charm in the Sim - then in game go to Cammus software and turn it back to 900° degrees steering radius. You should only need to do this once. Just set it and forget it. Most of us needed to do this for our Cammus 15nm. This also works for the simucube And other unrecognized direct drives. Such a simple fix please let me know if this helped 👍

Hi, when you did the software installation and you came to the driver installation portion. Did you leave the three boxes for the drivers checked, and did you answer yes or no when it asked to remove associated components before the install. I'm only asking because i had trouble with my first wheel after software installation, and communicating this to Cammus is difficult due to the language barrier.

So CSL DD + boost kit is still what I should go with? I mainly drift/free roam and put down some occasional hotlaps. I never actually race.

Which would you choose, csl dd 8nm or cammus c12?

Its a no brainer. C12 All the way. CSL DD 8nm is weak, notchy and grainy. Metal qr1 is garbage creaky. Software update will brick your fanatec base.

I don't know... this product line should focus on the value for the money, and the 12nm torque is an overkill, raising the price unnecessarily
@stefanschuchardt573410 ай бұрын
All I'm hearing is 12nm is the perfect amount of torque. Personally I also don't need that much torque but many will start complaining it's not enough. You just can't satisfy everybody at once.

If like you said you lowered all EA WRC in game settings to 50%, then you have done it wrong and it shows that you are not paying full attention at least to every game. But pulsing is still weird and shouldn't happen.
