Happy 40th Birthday, Capcom. Cannon Spike is one of the most underrated Capcom crossover game. This deserves a re-release on modern hardware and not on some Arcade 1up bull*****.

I remember this coming out my senior year of high school, right when I got a Dreamcast only for it to be discontinued like a month later. Still this was a fun title to pick up and back when the PS2/Gamecube/Xbox were all the rage it was easily affordable at local gaming shops.

I had a friend who when every one else had PlayStation and N64 he had a Saturn. Then bought a Dreamcast just before they discontinued it. We used to have to bring our consoles to his house 😂

Cannon spike was Child Hood! Between that and Marvel Vs Capcom 2 alone I never got off the Dreamcast as a kid! Shiba & Mega Man was favorite.

Those PS2/OG XBOX era compilations were really special, especially Capcom Classics Collection Vol. 1 and 2. On Volume 2, they ported their arcade quiz game Capcom's Quiz and Dragons, a game I never played or really would want to. But it has an exclusive mode that I absolutely love. It replaces all the regular questions with Capcom trivia. When I found that mode, it was so much fun testing my knowledge of one of my favorite companies from my childhood. Ppl sleep on that cool exclusive, you have to play it at least once for hardcore Capcom fans.

I didnt know until now that Cammy had her own game. But It instantly reminded of Kyoko Kirigiri from Danganronpa who also had a Spinoff game. I have to try both of them later! Equally surprising from a system I thought I played all the hems on pretty awesome. Would have loved this with friends back in the day wish I knew before now. @@willdiesel8431 Oh, the story modes in PS4 / PS5 fighting games is one thing. But I'm talking gameplay wise, it needed RPG-elements with dialogue interactions. But most of them as seen in the arcade, fighting games actually do feel short, I always have to put SFIII, IV, and V on 4 Rounds each instead of 2 Rounds, just to make the tournament last longer.

I remember having and enjoying this game as one of 6 Dreamcast games I had back in the day. Don't remember how I heard of it, but I remember getting hooked on the premise of getting to play multiple Capcom characters in a shoot-em-up. At the time I didn't know about the Balrog/Vega name switch, so I never knew he was supposed to be the same character. Now I know, and knowing is half the cheat code. Dreamcast, go! I fully believe this design for Arthur either influenced or was an inspiration for the character of Massimo in Mega Man X: Command Mission. Big, slow guy in armor that carries a lance, shoots lasers for a super move, *and* sometimes had a gold armor version? If Massimo's lances shot missles it'd be impossible to deny.

This was one of the two games i bought when I got a Dreamcast. MvC2 being the other. Pretty fun for what it was. Edit: As a middleschooler, I had no idea where the DC was in its lifecycle. I just really wanted me Some MvC2 and not have to spend my allowance at the arcade every weekend.

Perhaps the game would have been more popular if it had more melee options. I noticed that the melee combat seems to be limited to a basic three hit combo. It would have been nice for Cammy to perform a Spiral Arrow that traversed half of the screen. This could have been an excellent escape option and gap closer.

I remember cannon well was one of the last games for the Dreamcast I was able to find at GameStop. Man still wish sega was making a system. Doesn’t even have to be the best Nintendo proved that many times over you just have to make games people want and make them play perfectly also master the tech you are using before releasing it.

It did not get a home console release up until 2018 as part of the Capcom Beat 'Em Up Bundle on modern video game consoles and Microsoft Windows (PC) alongside Armored Warriors for the first time. Street Fighter 6 has a fighter that has a Lady Gaga inspired look so if the Matador returns in his fallen Marilyn Manson inspired look it would fit right in. On the subject of Psikyo and Capcom crossovers: Morrigan Aensland was in the Saturn version of Gunbird 2 (as an aside, that version replaced the elephant looking deity with the dog from the mahjong strip games for the final boss). Also there was Taisen Net Gimmick: Capcom & Psikyo All Stars : it even had Aine/Flash trying to mack on Ryu on the box art.

Do the video or the Crown would rise taxes on your sweet Yorkster Gold. I didn't have this game when I was young. I only got to the penultimate level because it was on display at my local Walmart, so whenever my mom did weekly shopping I would dart over to the electronic display center. Needless to say, I don't know much and remember less of the story. Since you are doing a shooting game, why not cover "3-Wonders"? Shiba is inspired by the protagonist of that game after all. And if you can venture some bravado into fan-translation no-mans' land, then "Bushoujo Wrestler Retsuden: Blizzard Yuuki Rannyuu!" would be a neat introduction into the "Wrestling Angels" series.
