It’s the old battalion patch, for “Opklaringsbataljonen” recon battalion, gardehusarregimentet. Nowadays it’s a part of the 3rd recon battalion of GHR, who are stationed on Bornholm.

It's such a shame that Denmark jumped the band wagon train and adopted the Multicam camouflage. The M/84 is such a great pattern and suits the danish terrain perfectly. Hope you get to showcase the Russian version someday, known as "Flectarn-D". Also some other Russian patterns would be really interesting!

I got a full uniform after we change M84 to Multicam. I miss the M84 (flecktern), it was much better for the Danish nature.

I love Mike’s youtube channel and his store, I just made my first purchase roughly a week ago and it was a Polish wz2000 surplus helmet in size medium. Holy shit, when I received it, I was stunned, it had looked like someone spray painted it to fit in a desert scene. It had the familiar smell that often accompanies surplus gear. 10/10

Yes, thats a danish M/84 jacket. The shoulder patch is from the Hussar regiment, on in danish Gardehusarregimentet. You Can find the genuine HMAK uniforms here in Denmark and also in the desert version. Mike, if you are interested, contact me

Had a chance to buy some brand new m84 pants today. Really good price...because SMALL!!! 😩 They also had a pretty decent DPM parka as well, but not $50 decent! Really nice Romania jacket too, with liner, but again...small. Im a medium regular, sucks that i cant ever find anything from other countries in my size.

Hiya, Jeremia. Apologies for resurrecting a dead inquiry but I figured I’d answer your question since it never was: assuming you’re in the panhandle, why not try Multicam or a variant thereof? From my understanding, brown dominant stuff works there. If you’re not sure; go get some photos of your local environment, do some homework on commonly available patterns and see.

This camo looks more suited as a jungle camo then woodland. I've heard that Denmark is more green compared to the rest of Europe. But surely Denmark's environment is not much different compared to what we have over in Britain. I do like the flecktarn pattern. Although I prefer the look of the Japanese version of flecktarn, as the colours look more balanced compared to the German version. And of course as I'm British, I do like the DPM pattern. I've still got a set of uniform from when I was in the cadets. Hopefully I'll get my MTP uniform if I pass my selection for the army reserves next month.

Does multicam or map or whatever you guys call it blend in well with British countryside? I'm from the middle of Canada and multicam works pretty awesome in our relatively dry tan grass farmlands, poplar forests and brushes. The only thing better I think is Italian vegetato for where I'm from but I like the look of the flecktarns better. Especially the Danish and desert german

HMAK is the manufacturer of the authentic military gear, the other brand is aftermarket trust me, I have the whole BDU a while set of web gear and pouches, and a grenade rucksack in this pattern
