Finally the tutorial I was looking for did you drill a hole where the camera is at or did you use the preexisting holes

I used preexisting holes. The bolt I unscrew at 11:24 broke and I routed the wire through the hole that it left.

@@sleepitoffofficial also just to confirm you put the red wire from the camera and spliced it to the black wire of the reverse light?

@@gmzgmz3727 I do at idle, but I believe it's because my mirror clip is broken. A new mirror is $200 from the dealer, so I used the paper fix at 5:00, and it helped some, but I do find myself still having to push it up after a pot hole. I'm looking around for a good used mirror, cause $200 for a piece of plastic is ridiculous. My car is also heavily modified. Solid motor mounts, built motor, turbo, and exhaust. So the whole car shakes at idle, and yes it's the black wire, though I would try the red wire first, I couldn't get red to work for me because I use an LED adaptor, but you could also use the trigger wire from the fuse box location, which I think I am going to rewire to use as I don't think my LED's get supplied enough power. I have been having problems with a fuse blowing, and I been doing research and it appears it may be better to tap it from the fuse box location, so I plan to rewire it. tylerwatt12.com/scion-tc-gen-1-reverse-wire-tap/

@@sleepitoffofficial do you by any chance know which is the positive wire for the headlight turning lights? I got a led strip and I was wondering where I had to splice it

Thanks for this! I will have a similar setup for my 2007 Scion tC. I already started removing bottom trims but after watching this I just realized that since its a hatchback it needs to go over the top trims >_< Since my back-up cam connects to the head unit though do you recommend I route the wire to the driver or passenger side?

It's preference really. Since I had a wire on the left and right side of the mirror I ran one to the left for power to the fusebox and the backup camera harness to the right.

WHAT TYPE OF connector did you used for the reverse light? was it a t tap?

Yes, if you are having issues though, it may be better to tap from the harness. I LED swapped mine and it is too much power freaking my mirror out. I'm going to have to redo it, but the car is down at the moment, so I haven't had a chance to do it.

When you're running the wire back are you just tucking it into the trim pieces or did you pry it first and then get it back in.

I just pushed it in there unless it wouldn't go in with ease, in which case I pulled the trim to route the wire under where it clips.
