I always found it funny that in teenage movies popular girls were almost always mean, and popular boys were just misunderstood... I think that's one of the reasons Mean Girls is such an iconic movie, for the first time they humanized girls and their ambition for love and peer acceptance... 🤔

I'd honestly argue that in Wild Child Poppy Moore is the mean girl, she's the stereotypical one, though she has a character arc I'd definetely refer to her as a mean girl through the stereotype, much more than Harriett. Harriett is more the student-council-president type in my opinion. EDIT: She is the protagonist, but I feel that doesn't change her behavior, it just puts us in her point of veiw.

Harriet from that Emma Robert’s movie looks like someone who would of hung around with Camila Parker Bowels if they were the same age. She’s definitely that understated aristocratic English type, who drives an old Range Rover, owns an inherited Aga stove and shops at Waitrose. She probably wear the one pant suit she bought in Browns (pronounced Brounes in RP) for 30 years, Harrods or Selfridges would be too common for her. Also she loves organic gardening and is married to a conservative MP and they have a villa in lake Coma which they never goto because her husband doesn’t like how energetic Italians get & she doesn’t trust their maid there to wash her grandmothers Egyptian cotton sheets properly. Their children definitely have hard to pronounce Latin names though, which doesn’t matter because they have nicknames that sound like something a baby would babble (like Chicky)

There are two redeeming qualities of the mean girls which are their confidence and fashion. Other than that I really try not to be like them. Honestly, in my case I have seen that the rich mean/snobby girl isn't really the popular one but they are the powerful ones so every tries to befriend them. Also, they cannot stand another girl getting any recognition/attention for their "thing" which are usually things like fashion, looks, or academic accomplishments.

Lord help me. Sharpay was my jam. I freaking loved her way more than Gabriella in high school musical. I’m proud of my blonde and pink hair in my late twenties. Blondes have more fun 🥰🥰🥰🥰

I'm glad Cher and Kristen Dunst Characters are not on here. Cher was popular but nice and Kristen Dunst played the cheerleader who was nice to Missy
