Agree prices are going up. Also though...I was surprised at the amount of vans on MAN platforms. That certainly seemed a lot more than your videos last year. Good to see more choice, but still don't think can beat going via a converter and getting exactly what you want

There were definilety more vans on display this year using the MAN/Crafter platform. I think availability of the them is better than last, and it is a great base to start from. Finding a good convertor is a whole new challenge...! Thanks for watching, JT

The Weinsberg means you loose so much storage space for the low profile whilst driving.

Yes, there are some compromises with the design.

Thank you for your tour of the show and your nice selection of vans. Well done! As California owners, we are also looking for a replacement. Not a fan of a Grand California either, for us the Hymer Free S 600 in the Campus version stands out. We are fan of the pop up roof of the California and we find the same here. And, when needed, two people can use the rear transverse bed reasonably comfortably. We appreciate the feeling of space (free space above the front seats e.g.) and the tasteful finish and presentation. Moreover, the Mercedes Sprinter has excellent driving characteristics. A Fiat based van is not an option for us anyway, as its driving characteristics are disappointing if you're used to a Volkswagen. Best regards from Belgium!

Hi, thanks for your kind comments, there was a lot to see at the show and it is always difficult deciding what may be relevant for others. Your points about the Fiat based vans are very interesting. One thing I am am worried about when we change is losing the long distance comfort and driveability that the T6 California offers, sticking to a Crafter/MAN, Sprinter or maybe a Ford based van is the way to go. I did like the Hymer Free 600 Campus, definitley need to see if I can get a test drive booked to try one out... Have subbed to your channel, so can enjoy your trips as well. Cheers JT

Think the Knaus is probably better than the Grand Cali

The Knaus was certainly impressive....

Hi did you see something that would work for you ?

Hi Jim, thanks for watching and taking the time to comment. Still like the Westfalia’s but they are getting expensive! It’s a shame the Sven Hedin is only a 2 berth otherwise that would prob be favourite. Was quite impressed with the Hymer Free 600 based in the Sprinter. What I didn’t expect was to be impressed by the layout of the Chausson X vans, they had some clever design ideas and features…

I like to watch these new Campervan videos every year to see how far the manufacturers can push the " take the piss " envelope with the suckers who buy these pokey little things . Extremely far it seems !! 🤣🤣A never ending queue of mugs willing to pauper themselves on finance to buy into this great scam . Astonishing !!

With the price of most midrange vans AND conversions approaching £80-90,000, I would imagine the majority people will need to finance their campervan dream...thanks for watching and taking the time to comment. Cheers JT
