I attended Camperdown High School for 5 years. This brings back memories. The last time I visited my old school was in 1992. Thank you for this.

As you travel all over town, you can see the insecurities still. Every fence is now a Concrete Wall. Most going 8. 10. 12. Feet. Like to make it bulletproof. Gated Community. Very high iron gates. I bet there is not a lot of night walking or sitting outside your gate.

I've read some of your other comments that reveal that you lived in Jamaica before it was crippled by all the crime and violence. I was born in the 1970s when the violence was seeping in but it wasn't this bad. The year 1976 was when garrison politics ushered in a wave of violence. There were the homeguards patrolling and curfews became regular. It only got worse with the 1980 election. From then on crime and violence spiral out of control. A beautiful island became a place blanketed in fear.

You do realize that the high fence is Camperdown High School? 1) Btw when was your last visit? 2) are you Kingstonian? 3) If so where in Kingston?
