👍Thank you for showing the 'real life story's of Jamaica!👌
@kwacou42795 жыл бұрын
Who's real life? I'm from Santa Cruz and that scene depicted wasn't my real life growing in Jamaica. No gun shots, no violence, no grill on my house, no bunch of pregnant teens, no women plating up dem head pon de street, no baby fadders (people got married where i'm from), we might not have been rich but we did't live in squalor. We respected our neighbors, didn't covet their things, didn't wage war on our neighbors etc. I'm tired of people saying when they show ghetto, this is the real Jamaica. Most of Jamaica, 85%, is not ghetto. Downtown Kingston, Spanish town and flankers do not represent the majority of Jamaica and it shouldn't be promoted as so. It's like if people only showed Detroit, West Philly, Baltimore, Compton, Underhill, Overton, South Bronx, Southside of Chicago, Brownsville, etc and said "this is the real America" when less than 5% of America looks anything like that.

kwacou ...I want you to know most of what you said is screwed up. In every city in America there is area that looks bad. Every State. Reason. That’s where people starts out. And move into wider space. More land etc. All that no baby father and pregnant teens. Most of you stuff were put downs. In the country houses were far apart. Less people. But I won’t bother to say any more. You were fortunate.

All I can say is that you're a very brave man - Love Lane is borderline: LOL. Below Charles Street is one side and above is another side. If you've noticed you'll see that between Charles and North Street is very quiet and abandoned - because that's exactly where the borderline is, a kind of a No-Man's Land. The fellows you passed playing football if they were watching you they might have said who's that person driving all the way from North Parade up through Fletcher's Land. Anyway I'm thankful of your efforts though and God go with you always, love.

@Steph Galapagos7 To be honest you know that when I drive through some neighborhoods I get more attention to the car than what I am about. They always saying "give me something" or "let it go" words to that effect because most youths love fast cars. Not saying they are totally distracted though.. still have to be careful

I must give you loyal. Of Credits for the love Lane drive through. I remember the hotel almost across from Ward Theatre as you made the turn. And all that comes after. The new young people behave same way like them young ones did in the 1960’s . Don’t want to move out the road. Or step off the side walk to walk in the street. Same attitudes

God he knows when dem deh place deh a guh fix up. And let’s say the downtown Kingston transformation does reach all the way up there, where the hell are they going to put those people?

Marcia Taylor ::: To do any thing to areas like those. Government has to move the people out. Bulldoze the area. And rebuild. But they keep making the same mistakes. Constructing an area that only their party members can get back in. If you remember. When government builds. People believe it’s the party in power that area or construction belongs to. They have to change that

One 6 year old shot in the foot. 2 dead and several more wounded. All under 18, years of age. Just kids who love to play Video Games. But it’s the new thing about Jamaica now. Revenge killing .Today.
