I have a small Dutch also like to try that method again only this time I’ll place the coals on top to get that browning on the chick. Wow....that's so impressive! My kind of lifestyle ....and it reminds me of my young days growing up in South Africa. Wild camping in the woods and braaing on the fire. Here's a simple beer bread recipe for you....480g self-raising flour, 1 X 340ml can of beer and a pinch (3ml) salt. Mix all the ingredients together and spoon the dough into your Dutch oven and over hot coals for about an hour. You can make variations by omitting the beer and adding cheese, herbs or onions. All the best for the year ahead!
