This is the most beautiful video I have seen of yours up till now. Definitely ranking for an Oscar. It reaches my heart which goes out to you and your precious dogs, music and of course unique scenery of winter in Alaska. All through it is sheer poetry of good living as it should be… Thank you.❤️

Thanks for showing us the beauty of 'homesteading' wherever it happens. You highlight the positive aspects of life in Alaska well, too. Many blessings upon you two (or six : )

I did on one of my other dogs and all of a sudden she didn't know how to walk. Yours did fabulous. The sandwich looked tasty. The drone view was breathtaking. Thanks for sharing. 💕. NonnaGrace

Lived there awhile. Miss it!!! Be careful of your dogs getting caught in game traps - always have a tool on hand to free them. Happens more often then you would guess! Glad you have the garmins on them - then if they do get caught in one you can locate them. Don't be suprised for traps to be out there still set out of season either.......
@SimpleLivingAlaska5 жыл бұрын
Christine Carole thank you, that is a great suggestion. Is there a specific tool for that?

@@SimpleLivingAlaska depends on the trap. Definitely something to cut snares. There are videos you can find online that are instructional. I had gone to an "inservice" from I think it was the trappers association. You could contact them and they may be helpful. Thank you for sharing your experience in AK. ❤

Beware of frost bite related to metal touching skin. I noticed your ring.. we had a nurse who deployed to Alaska for winter training for two weeks. She had a ring piercing at her umbilicus. She had skin necrosis around the piercing. As you know those tires are made for going forward. I noticed you got stuck in the Polaris after a big storm. Keep up the good job.

Chris Bogle we actually have to keep heat packs on our phones and batteries for our spark when we go out, even from the house they can be too cold and get too cold quickly outside, especially on a trip and yes...drop out of the sky. No good 😓 Thanks for following us!
