"This isn't even camping"? Steve, you took us for a little sightseeing tour around a really pretty forest, found a spooky spot with animal bones, took an unexpected (and surprisingly well-centered!) injury to the forehead, gave us some cool shots of a couple o' trains, made an executive decision to get pizza, and you weren't entirely sure you were allowed to be there. That's a camping adventure if ever I heard one! Big, planned adventures are fun, but the unexpected ones often end up being more memorable.

I went wild camping through wales a few weeks back. It was great, Spent 5 out of 7 days in a tent, First night on the side of a mountain by a lake, night 2 in a farmers yard £5, night 3 on a beach,. 1 night I spent in my car. 1 night I spent in a hotel £30, Final night was in a lovely private camp ground for £12 the night. It's just how the trip worked out. Also 1 morning I drove past a sandwich van so treated myself to a bacon roll, even though I had bacon and cooking equipment. After a few days I realized that every place I can think of, such as parks, or land beside the rivers, etc., are all places that no one would care about at all. I can even set up a grill and BBQ anywhere at all, even at the beach. So, there goes my plan to be a big KZbinr with a channel about stealth camping and drinking in Taiwan, lol.

Hey Steve. I grew up in Jasper and live in Edmonton now but just love seeing you camp in all these places I'm familiar with. Don't worry too much about camping in exciting places for every video because some of us love these videos the most! Thanks!

This one's hittin' close to home, Steve. Watching in my hammock in the back yard, which happens to be 30 ft from the tracks.

@Sally Winston you get used to it. Trains are not like cars in that way.

After 3-6 months living by the tracks, it’s the missing or late scheduled trains that will disturbed you...🤣🤣🤣

Ah good old Hinton Alberta, got to love that smell. Pizza was always a good choice you are definitely in bear country. We have had two people killed from grizzly bear mauling‘s in south west of Calgary this year so ya be careful Steve.

The Super 8, busy CN tracks and the pulp mill gave it away even before Gus’ Pizza confirmed it...🤣🤣🤣
@TMGMedia733 жыл бұрын
I recognized that pulp mill anywhere. Worked at that stinky mill, back in the early 90s. One of the worst jobs I've ever had. The only thing I liked about working there was that it was close to Jasper. Never did try that pizza place.

Loved this video! This is just the kind of camping we like to do. My son and I like to set up hammocks in the juniper trees between the highway and the RR tracks here in Utah near Tintic Junction. So I can really relate to your camping trip. I love to hear the trains go by at night!
