I know what I'll be watching tonight. You're channel ticks all the boxes, and I'll don the headphones and head off on adventure, the way I like to camp. When you headed up Pinnibar, and said you were pretty worried, or saying you're 'no cook', and chowing down on spags 'n snags is just a revolution in film. So honest, so real. Your narrative is about what you see, hear, smell, or touch. No script. No Unimog behind with the recovery gear and film crew. I'm not pissing in your pocket, but your productions are THE BEST thing on KZbin by far, for me at least. Advertising annoys me, but your suppliers are shown surreptitiously, and I actually care to look, knowing their products will be good. I'm hanging out to put some gravel in my travel's, it'll happen. Until then, 'A Guy and his Troopy' is almost as good. Cheers digger.😊

cast upstream and wind back with the current, walk upstream and keep casting to cover water. fish the deep pools but also fast flowing water close to under cut banks, rocks trees or structure. small hardbody lures like rapala floating 5's, spinners, small soft plastics on 1-5 gram jig head, metal spoons, tassie devil lures or a worm with a split shot sinker or 2. that river you can fish from the bank, most rivers with lots of trees and blackberries need to be waded, crocs in summer, waders in winter. watch for snakes.

Been to that spot a few times, it’s one of my favourites. All the planes flying from Sydney to Melbourne all follow the same flight path which is basically over Cooma, all the planes going the other way follow a path to the west. The vapour released by the jet engines is causing the jet trails and it has nothing to do with cloud seeding.
@DailyGrindAus
@DailyGrindAus Жыл бұрын
Absolutely right. The commercial aircraft can be tracked in real time from several sites such as Flightradar24. There is nothing nefarious going on except overpriced plane fares.

Can you tell me how many planes fly west from Sydney and at what intervals normally. Is it normal to see 5-6 commercial planes flying side by side ? Up to 45 planes in a day leaving Sydney? It’s a known fact that Snowy Hydro Cloud seed, it’s actually on their website. I’ve spoken to them and they admit it. Yes the odd plane would be a passenger plane. But it is a thing, no one believes it until they spend a day looking up at the sky !
@DailyGrindAus
@DailyGrindAus Жыл бұрын
@aguyandhistroopy Well a quick google search says around 150 per day....and that means there are often aircraft flying nearby but they have to maintain a certain separation of heights and from the ground they can look to be flying together. That's just passenger aircraft and not freight. My partner worked for Air Services Australia and used to audit the air traffic control systems. It's far more complex than you would ever imagine. Not sure what you mean by cloud seeding...silver iodide is used to seed clouds to make rain but it is quite expensive and they don't use commercial passenger jets. You may be talking about chemtrails which is a conspiracy theory around population control and not based on science. All engines emit water vapour, even the Troopy...you will see steam out of your exhaust when it is cold...same thing for aircraft engines...

Too little spot that one, it can be very good fishing there mate, stacks of trout in there, always cast upstream & retrieve down, fish face upstream & fish the top of the runs as that’s where the fish will be with the most oxygen in the water. Small lures in really neutral natural colours. As for cloud seeding, they do cloud seed in the snowies to make it snow sometimes, but your planes are passenger planes as that spot is on the Sydney - Melbourne flight path.

Ha ha ha! You're a brave lad, wanderin' about in your shorts and boots. That whole valley is riddled with tigers - actually had one have a go at me one day. When you are not ready for them, they can be a little scary. 🤣 👍 At the bottom of that track and anywhere near a short walk from your camp, the fish get a fair amount of pressure - they have all manner of things/devices/lures chucked at them. So, what fish are there will be very, very wary. Go for a longish walk, upstream or downstream and you might just do a little better. Nice little piece . . . well done.

Thanks mate, I was on the look out for the snakes, but prob not as much as I should have been. Had noticed an increase in them up at Marica at work. I need to learn a lot more about trout fishing I’ll admit that, I normally fish out of my boat. Thanks for taking the time to watch and comment Bill, appreciate it !👍🏼

Great video, I havent been through that country in a long time. If its the right season, dragonfly lavea (mud eyes) make the best bait for those mountain streams, found under rocks or branches in the shallows, bait up the hook and just let the current do the casting. Or use a fine leader and running sinker, very slight weight, best caught during low pressure; rainy weather or just near. Good luck.

A bit fiddly to do though. Still ok with the standard hooks. Need to have about 4-6lb line so you can vast it further. I guess the cloud seeding was from the Melb-Syd route given where you were. That particular spot gets hit very hard with fisherman !! Judging by your outfit it seemed warm .... try spinners and metal blades or soft plastics more natural insect life towards summer vibes ! Minnow etc are more realistic when the trout are aggressive and spawn run April to June (depending on water flow and rain) !! If there were no rises and your fishing after a big low front than throw a little minnow 3cm to 5cm up high country on the Bene river !!
