I was in Walmart looking at camping gear and I picked up an 02 Cool 10 inch portable fan from Walmart to go in the Adventure Van for camping. This battery powered fan is very affordable and works great. Lately, I've been looking at a lot of budget gear to test and see how well it works. Why spend a lot if you don't have to.
Here is the Amazon link, amzn.to/2x209vn
I consider it a camping fan for tents but I will be using it in my van mostly. You can certainly use it anywhere you need a breeze. If you need a camping fan for your tent, this might serve the purpose well. It's not going to blow you away but it will circulate the air which is what is usually most needed for comfort. This was the only O2 cool fan at my Walmart and I had passed by it many times, but I finally decided to give it a try. The O2 cool fan is battery operated but has a port for AC. It runs on 6 D-batteries. The O2 company claims the fan will run 40 hours on 6 batteries. My O2 Cool fan did not come with an AC plug, it only has the port on the side of the fan. It would have cost more if it were included. If you are a car camper and have the room to bring a lot of stuff battery operated fans for camping is at the top of your gear list. Camping gear at Walmart is an affordable option for most people just like this O2 Fan. I like to try stuff like this out before spending a lot of money. Sometimes cheaper is better. Walmart is the biggest store in my community and it's the first place I look for discount camping equipment. If you have been researching a portable fan for camping I can definitely recommend the O2 Cool Battery Powered Fan. You will not be spending a bunch of money. This camping fan will not blow the hair off your head but it will give good circulation in a tent or van camping or other tight places and you will be a lot more comfortable.

I own this fan and I measured the current drain. It works on 9 volts. It uses 280 milliamperes on LOW (2.5 watts). It uses 330 Milliamperes on HIGH speed (3 watts). It will run on batteries about 3 nights. It is very quiet.

During the intro, I thought I had clicked on the wrong video to a hip hop dance instructional video lol. I have had this fan for over two years now and I can confirm the things you said about it. Pretty handy little fan for car camping.

Thanks for the fan demonstration...A fan is a very important item to my entire family! Even though I have freezing cold AC, I also have 3-4 fans going at all times. I'm heading out soon to live on the road for awhile, maybe indefinitely? It's been a long time since I bought a battery operated fan but you sold me on this one ☺

Not a bad deal. I'm thinking if a small hole (1/4" maybe) were drilled in each corner of the flanged area around the backside perimeter of the unit, and depending on head room and gear loops available, it could be bungee'd in a tent ceiling pointing downward. Just a thought.

I've had mine for 2 days and it either has a short, or Duracell batteries empty really quickly. The fan runs for about 6-7 hours. That's 14 hours at the most, do you think it drained brand new batteries that quickly?

Okay, I didn't see how you could possibly make a 6 1/2 minute video about a fan and keep my attention, but you are very entertaining. BTW, you never showed it on low for the rest of us who don't want to sleep in a hurricane. You also might want to switch to a better quality cigar, lol. What was that little stick? If I could figure how to hang this fan, I might buy it.
@myadventureoutdoors
@myadventureoutdoors 6 жыл бұрын
Thank you Will. The high speed will not blow a wig off anyone's head but it is good for air circulation. You could put the fan on your face at low speed and enjoy it all night. I love my Backwood Smokes that come 5 to a pack. It's my Clint Eastwood cigar. It's all plastic and you could drill or even glue some mods to make it easy to hang.

Thanks, Steve. I was joking about your hurricane reference to the fan in your bedroom, lol. I was pulling your chain about the cigar.
