Great video. Brings back a lot of good memories of camping in the high sierras.

Snow is Christmas Card Beautiful! You guys are funny, HA! Frozen wipes, way too funny!
@booniebuster419317 күн бұрын
It wasn't funny at the time! The problem was that Mark tried to use the frozen wipes first, but didn't tell me about them. I spent 10 minutes trying to get one out of the package while snow was falling on me from the tree branches above.

Love your pop up. I have a 1706, it's a great little camper. Enjoy your new one!

Oh gosh, this reminds me of when my son and his wife used to join my hubby and I in the high country of Oregon. So beautiful, we had a pop up and they slept in their tent. Thank you for your service, my hubby did 3 tours in Vietnam. God bless and safe travels!

We camp in the Sierras in Central California also…nice this time of year, deer season is done and people are afraid of the snow. We tent camp and we love it!!!

The new camper is a Sunray 149 Sport. I will be picking it up as soon as this awful California weather lets up.

When you have the hat on and you’re sitting in the chair, you look exactly like my ex father-in-law. Sounds like him and he even had a camper just like yours he didn’t go up to the high sierra, areas. He went up to Bishop which I don’t think it’s in the high sierras, but I’m not sure. You brought back some good memories for me for a minute, but it brought a smile to me. He’s passed away. He was a great man. Enjoy enjoy. Enjoy

Hi, the area is about 8 miles east of Oakhurst California at about the 5,600-foot level. I think you had other questions, but I can't find them now. Do you have my email address?

How much are you selling your camper for?
@booniebuster419326 күн бұрын
I'm asking $3,500, but I'm willing to negotiate a little. It is located in California. Contact me by email: djordan@fire2wire.com Did you see the video I have up showing the inside? I read you "About". I don't think this camper would be a good one to live in for a long period of time. It is very basic.

I believe the reason you slept so good is that you had heat during the night. I leave the heat on during the night when I camp. The days of roughing it are long gone...lol
@booniebuster4193Ай бұрын
I agree. I generally sleep very well on these trips. But that particular night the temperature got down into the teens. My feet got a little cold. So at about 1 a.m. I got up and put 2 pairs of sock on. That helped.

@booniebuster4193 I have a diesel heater that I use. It's very miserly on both fuel and my battery. Best money ever spent. I've heard many a camper say that their sleeping bag keeps them warm during the night. It's getting out of the bag and everything in the camper is very cold that gets to me. Ay my age, I want heat..lol. Can't wait to see your and Mark's new campers. We pay for comfort as we age.
@booniebuster4193Ай бұрын
I didn't have any place in the Viking to add a diesel heater. And I didn't really want to have to haul a can of diesel up the hill. Just one more thing to pack. You are correct about needing more comfort as we age. I'll be 79 in December.

You should get a cap for the back of your truck and camp in the bed of your truck and then trailer the ATV. It might be a little bit easier on the truck.
@booniebuster4193Ай бұрын
So far, the truck does very well pulling my camper and having my Quad in the pick-up bed. I have the 4.0 engine with plenty of power. I might be installing air bags on the rear to added support though.
