Hi Jonny. Yes I used to watch him but then he switched to doing tons of paid gear review vids and they’re not my thing. He’s affiliated with Pomoly too which is fine but I prefer it when they’re not pumping gear they’ve been paid for. I like Luke of TOGR for this reason.

My husband & I are 75 & still enjoy tent camping while our senior fellows are driving the big RVs & spend their time inside watching TV etc & call it camping. However, in Mn, rain usually comes with lightening & thunder so can be unsafe otherwise we love listening to rain in a tent. Enjoy your vids & have collected a few ideas to use in the future. Thanks. Blessings!

Hi Tony..I'm Fred..I'm an avid camper as well here in Virginia USA..I have several tents for different occasions and purchased the stormbreak 2 for my motorcycle camping adventures..I bought the yellow/gold color and it performed tremendously well in rain..I questioned it at first but with time I discovered the simplicity of its design and quality..water proof..the front flap can be adjusted as a mini awning also..fast set up and takedown..I also questioned the color because it was too bright inside also which is good to see your gear inside. Too bright forced to wake up early. I thought the color was a design flaw at first because it Also wasn't stealthy. I soon discovered that northface choose that color so the camper wak eww s up early to explore and not sleep the day away. I also bought a gray color one for beach camping. Mine did come with pole bags. Some tents are bought and returned missing items and resold but northface will send you bags and poles etc..as their consumer support and warranty is excellent. I don't work or get paid by northface at all but I hate cheap tents with passion. For the price I think its great and quick setup making camping awesome and fun.

Bruce's eyes, they are truly the money shot! No doubt about it the facial expressions of your dog and the sound of the rain and you pampering him trying to keep him a little warm and dry I could watch for hours and hours it's very comforting and you are truly helping with tips on how to string up a good tarp over your tent very good tips

Hi Tony, when I was young I use to camp practically every weekend and holidays. I had to cook on a grill. We didn't have all those fancy gas cookers. I always had to make a fire 🔥. To me camping without a fire is not a complete camping trip. Well any have fun and a great time. 👍

This tent is a great tent, I got mine early this year and took camped out of it for 3 days driving down the blue ridge parkway. Poured down on me every night. Wind, lightning, and all, and I was dry the whole time. No leaks, no moisture seeping onto the outer mesh. It's a reasonably priced tent, and given it's got a lifetime warranty with it, there probably isn't a lot out there that's better for less.
@eyeofthetiger4184

G'day Neil, I'm seriously considering this tent. Glad to know it's waterPROOF. I can forgive the odd design flaw, but I wont tolerate leakage. And @ a decent price too, they are just over the 300 AUD here. So yeah concur, wont be many better for the dough, thanks for your comment, very helpful. Cheers Duke.

Don’t pay attention to the negative comments - bunch of 12 year olds hiding behind a computer. Why is it we can get several hundred positive comments and it’s the one negative one we remember? Son reminded me tonight of one of his best camping trips/motorcycle off road rides we did. I thought it was a failure of a trip. Middle of the night it started raining very hard. Flooded our tent. We slept in my truck that night and in the morning dropped tent and sleeping bags off in the dumpster. Not sure why he thinks it was great but we have plans to go back this year.

I own both The North Face Stormbreak 1 and 3. I use the Stormbreak 1 for solo backpacking and the Stormbreak 3 for car camping. Both kept me dry in rain storms without a protection of a tarp above it, but you’re right it is drafty. Both are great in dry condition also with the many combinations of using the rain fly, vestibule, and just completely taking it off. Stormbreak 1 can be set up in under 5 minutes but it’s tight to sleep in if you’re 6feet. I plan on getting the Wawona 4 for my 4 plus days car camping. Also, I had to buy TNF J-Stakes to replace the OM stakes and I bought the footprint for both as well. Keep up with the good job testing tents!!! Thx

I do love your videos! So much fun to watch you and Brucie! Always glad to see you! I often answer your questions aloud, too, like KarenT. My hubby also laughs at me! Especially when you're adjusting the tarp! I say, Yep, up there, down there--no do that--giggle--! I used to work for an industrial designer, and often had to deliver his equipment/furniture, and after he had a disaster, I took over tying down the stuff to be sure it didn't move. There are 365 forces on things in the truck, so was sure to tie it against all forces. So my hubby giggles at me when i start to comment out loud. Yep, so silly! We do love to see Brucie, but love to see and hear you too, and thanks to you and your family for sharing you with us!

Few tips for you, if you have a bad tarpaulin, chuck it, have a difficult tent to erect, return it, always put a tarpaulin up following the contours of the ground you are camping on if possible, and pooling can be sorted with poles in the right places. And for us common folk, a vestibule is a porch😂😂

I have a stormbreak 2 also and I love it. But here are a couple things i have noticed. I do not peg it out until I have all the poles in. It makes it easer to move the whole tent around it you need to since it is a semi-free standing tent. I also set my tent up with the four top most clips attached to the smaller cross poles. I have also found the colored tabs really do not make any difference as long as the doors are lined up on the sides. I have used in in all 4 season and in the rain with no issues. I also peg out the sides opposite the doors to allow for ventilation. I have only use the guys lines when it is really windy. I just roll the poles up in the tent when I take it down, unless I am using it while back packing and then I separate them for weight management. think it is a great tent

Another smooth and relaxing video, Tony. Nice to see you change adapt and get one out there in spite of your injury. I also wanted to add that I think all of the youtubers in your category are distinctly different and enjoyable and it's nice to see you promoting the other channels too. Never tried a Bacon Butty. I'll be doing that soon. Cheers!

I know that it is harder for you to film while it's raining but the sound of the rain is so soothing. I like to watch and rewatch your videos where it's raining before I go to bed. It really helps me to unwind and relax. I had never caught that you are in New Zealand and I love seeing the scenery. I always thought you were in Canada for some reason. Thank you for taking care of Brucey and always making sure he is safe and comfortable.

I have that Stormbreak 2 ... agree on the pegs but mine came with a pole bag, I got the matching groundsheet too and find it an excellent tent.

I'm about to head off for a couple of days in my $20 pop up kids tent (makes for a great single person swag) with my $20 Mako (The Warehouse) heavy duty tarp. For $40 they work great and the tarp is so durable. I'd be lying if that's ALL I used but for basics that's it. I tie the tarp onto my roof racks of my 4WD and drape it over the bed and peg it into the ground. Makes for a great awning and rain shelter with plenty of space to walk around and cook. I normally set up the pop up tent on top of a yoga mat with another yoga mat on the inside. For someone like me who doesn't get cold it's perfect. I love your videos because they get me amped to go myself 😄👍👍👍

Its fun watching Brucie playing all the time. The raim camping is fun to watch and your reviews on the tent are quite crispy and honest. Hoping to see you cook some Indian cuisine such as Tandoori chicken, Chicken tikka masala and roti.

Hi Tony, been enjoying your vids, you need a 'catch phrase' so people know you & remember you as there's so many now doing these camping channels, ie, girl in the woods = she gone, Luke= strength & honor, camping with Steve & his catch phrases = hunker down. People like the fun of waiting for the familiar phrases. Good luck & keep having fun with brucie 🇬🇧

I feel your pain about the foot. As a weekly trail runner and back[packer on gnarly trails, I often have minor foot injuries that hamper me. Just now am I coming out of them in time for winter here in the eastern U.S. That is a great idea to have a tarp over and around the tent.

I like nearly everything about your vids, Not thrilled with the chowing down parts, but, no big deal, we can always skip thru it. It's interesting to see the new gear and inventions. Actually I do like watching dogs camping, eating #1, exploring #2. The sounds of nature are so relaxing. and stress-less, it's the Earth's language.
