leave it as you found it. if you build shelters where you dont have specific permision from the landlord they are likley to be removed. for wild camps it best to use tarps ot tents

Yep, I totally agree.

Sometimes you've got to gan alang to get alang marra, once a spots compromised just bin it, avoid any sorrow down the line. 😂

Yeah, we've decided to move on and explore other places, we will pop back in a few years down the line I reckon, been some great camps over the past year or so 😎
@AnIdiotOutdoors2 ай бұрын
Who did that to the camp? The Forestry Commision or equivalent agent to deter wild camping? Or landowners? It's been done with chainsaws, as can be seen in the video. Shame, but its not the end of the world. This is why i constantly find new spots and keep moving around. Good video 👍🫡
@SteFortune2 ай бұрын
I think it must have been the Forestry commission dude, it was bound to happen eventually, we will still go back to camp there, it's an ideal location 😊
@AnIdiotOutdoors2 ай бұрын
@SteFortune clearly trying to deter camping. Shame but as you say they've rumbled it and cut it all down. This is why I don't leave evidence of camping in forests or woods. That way my favourite spots are left untouched or preventative measures in place against wild camping 🫡

@AnIdiotOutdoors I think going forward I will stick to tent and that's it, gave Bushcraft a go and it's not really for me to be fair

So, started watching this. Ali put your tent up, then his own. He built the fire and cooked the food. What have you done, beside sit and watch him work? 🤔🤔🤔
@SteFortuneАй бұрын
@@carolynkenyon2122 I built the fire pit, carrying the rocks from the burn, I carried all the heavy pre bought logs in through the woods, Ali offered to cook the food, it doesn't take two people to cook steak ha ha, Ali put my tent up for me because I wasn't sure how to do it because it was a new tent, I helped him, I didn't just stand there ha ha

Is camping permitted in this forest? Nothing on the website so I imagine it isn't. There aren't many/any wild areas in England...
@SteFortune2 ай бұрын
I think it's not permitted, but as long as you are respectful and don't leave a mess, we always leave anywhere we go tidy, we did build a camp here using the fallen trees etc. We won't be doing it again. Lesson learned

It's sad isn't it, we literally left it nice and tidy and some jerks who chop down trees in a man made forest for profit spoil the fun ha ha
