You can get a manual transmission Crostrek and it'll feel somewhat the same. I always loved that model specifically. Not the biggest fan of Subaru on the whole, but for whatever reason I like the Crostrek

NO, don’t get rid of your truck, I love that truck and all the videos you make with it and about it. Your content is one of the reasons I went out and bought one of my own here in Manitoba. I have a 2023 Tacoma TRD sport and love it and I worry you might regret getting rid of down the road as they aren’t getting any cheaper. And remember, it’s a 3rd gen Tacoma so you will be driving it for ever long after it’s paid off. Looking forward to more videos with it!

the psi on the bike tires is to low so you're pinching the tube when you hit roots or curbs/bumps. Keep them up to pressure and you should be good! :)

Yeah since this video, I upped it to 30psi, upgraded the tubes to thicker ones and went with bigger tires. It's sooo much better

Boy is this relatable. This may be dumb and not useful, but I believe in you two. Y'all got this, times are tough for everyone. I make a good living and still find myself getting that great value cheese sometimes. lol As far as the truck payment...youre right, you don't need the tacoma. I think we get distracted with getting things thinking these things will allow us to have the adventures we want, in reality we don't NEED any of those things. "THINGS" being a $50k truck. I will say, youre half way done paying it off. Would you be happier with a paid off tacoma in 3 years or a paid off crostrek next month? In those three years with that crostrek you could explore way more and invest way more money/time into KZbin as well. It is tough for sure...now this is just me, you know you financial situation more but I would stay with the tacoma and just go harder whether that be another editing gig or more KZbin posts to pay it off sooner. That's if it is something that you can actually see yourself doing without working around the clock to stay afloat. I wish nothing but the best for you both and I am sure you will figure out what's best. We are fans of the MDV so will come along for the ride whether youre in a tacoma crostrek or dare I say...ridgeline.

I get that economic burden, after my previous company shutdown last month I was super lucky to have found a job a few weeks later, but the stress in the meantime was immense. There aren't many overlander youtubers using a Xtrek. That'd be nice! Or what about getting a Geo Tracker 4x4 or Suzuki Samurai SUV? There are youtubers about there, but none-overlanders.

I would still make content enjoying the hobby in a reasonable and sustainable way. I would love to create content buying cheap SUVs/Trucks off facebook and making them into good rigs to show people you can do it on a extreme budget.

Great adventure. I have to say though, you're complaining about the economy...... change up, you just blew my mind with the talk of selling the truck. My payment is considerably more so I haven't done the level of mods you have. I support what ever decision you end up making.
