I know you will get hundreds of advice on fishing, but one thing about ice fishing I've found over the decades that holds true. The fish here in Manitoba at least, get very active and bite in the morning when the sun just peeks over the horizon. If it's cloudy, they are much less active in the morning. Joe! look into a 8Wk heater. they run off diesel and require 12v dc but vent exhaust right out the door. keeps it safe but very toasty!

12:48 I'm not sure if of the prepackaged stuff, but on dead bait you should pop the air bladder in the fish and rig it through the back so it doesn't float and is oriented in a natural position.

Hey Joe, keep the snow under your puzzle pieces next time, helps with insulation, and you wont wake up to a pool by your feet when running a heater.

Careful on that Zipper, you break that your trip is quickly ruined,you should either wax the teeth or run a pencil over the teeth to smooth out the pulling of the fastener. I broke my tent fastener last week and what a drag,I had to use safety pins to somewhat keep the tent door closed as raccoons were sniffing around the door at night I had to stay awake all night to scare them off.

Those last shots make the whole video for me. You and Wolfy joyfully going for a walk. That is footage I've kind of missed to be honest! I'm so glad to see it. Wolfy is not just a stoic guard dog, he's also very playful apparently! I'm not one for ice fishing, but I definitely enjoyed you decking out the hut. I thought you were Canadian :) The tent seems dangerous without vents. And its extremely difficult to setup. The safest way to warm the tent is via webasto or alike systems. All the burning is outside of your tent, only warm air circulates in the tent. Its a good idea to have the whole floor insulated. And for fishing you may want some bloodworms.
