The World NEEDS more fathers like this. Good content that displays a real and fun relationship between a Son and his Dad. For those who were not so lucky, this is how Fathers can be. What I like is how the Son is on the verge of always laughing at his Dad's mannerisms and silly sayings and how the Dad has an attitude of "I don't give a flying f*ck, so here weeeee go!" I relate to this because it's a really unique transition going from being "You're my dad, protector, and leader by example" as a kid to an adult which is "Oh sh*t dad, what the bloody hell, hahaha....I finally GET you!"
@ChewieTomatoes15 жыл бұрын
The next video should be you instructing your dad how to successfully edit Vlogs. That will be your greatest achievement over any bushcraft project.

That old 1965 shovel with the pick would make those unexpected middle-of-the-night cat hole digs (I backpack here in the US with a hammock) much quicker. It looks heavy as you say, but what a beautiful piece of gear. And it's as old as me! On another note, I really miss my dad. Cherish every moment you have with each other. You are so right about the joy of building new structures and the life it brings to a channel. Carlisle195 is 'champion' at that! I saved all your Bushcraft camp overnighters: they are fine to revisit. Yes...we have wanted the two of you to camp overnight at 'the woodland studio.' Your Dad is being a good sport to give up a comfortable bed at home! Pallet cabin: it has a sound roof and wind and rain will happen most often when you are half-sodden with sleep.

I really enjoyed seeing your father again with you, The two of you truly make me laugh out loud sometimes. That is when I can understand that British accent. Your father’s accent is so thick there are times when I can’t figure out what he’s just said. But I laugh anyway. It was hard to see the big camp be torn down. I don’t know why - sentimental maybe. But I had a suggestion that you might think about your future episodes. What about creating different shelters like you did this year only in a large circle around a center firepit. You would leave each shelter up and progress to the next shelter during the year and when fall came about, the nicest time of year for being outside, you might think about finding a group of inner-city boys and girls who have never camped out before. And bring them for a weekend to stay in the shelters. I don’t know what grade you teach, so I’m not certain this is something that would appeal to you, but all the work that you put into creating each shelter would serve a purpose in the end by providing a wonderful experience for someone else. It’s just an idea. I live in the states, So I’m not sure if there’s a difference in whether you’re allowed to bring a group of kids to something like this. But maybe you could coordinate it with other organizations in your nearby city. Other ideas to combine with building shelters might be identifying trees and plants and then making a dinner from them. I really enjoyed the episode where you created a basket out of vines. Something like that would be interesting again. Or possibly building an outdoor oven or kitchen. If you want to travel in your area, you could choose a decade in that particular area of England and give the background to how people lived during that time and build a shelter or create a hunting or fishing item from whatever is available to show how they survived. You might combine some trips with specialists in a particular field like wood carving or like your friend who creates gourmet dinners in the woods. Those shows were very interesting and it takes some of the load of knowing everything and allowing yourself to learn along with your viewers . Whatever you decide to do please make sure to add your dad into the mix now and then. I believe he is the father that many viewers would love to have experienced in their own lives but enjoy being able to share a little of his humor and wit 😊. Best wishes for a wonderful Christmas and a happy and prosperous new year:🎄🌚💫

Yes: I am back again! Love the pallet wood cabin and the G-Stove. Some KZbinrs mention the residual 'cold' that creeps into a sleep system and a shelter in the small hours of the morning. How does the G-Stove handle that in your set-up in your (less than dismal cold) climate? What a pleasure it is to watch you and Graeme prepare 'real food.'

the spade you asked about is the little knob sticking out at the top you push it in and it allows you to move it in to a few different configurations i.e. just a pick, just a spade or spade and pick acting together for digging small one foot or more trench for say the plastic pipe and the pick takes care of any rocks I found my one to be brilliant but never had one of them while I was in the forces. and I would pick the cabin to sleep in for I am now 58 years old, no brainer don't like the cold now a days, loved the bucking bronco show, reminds me of when my kids were younger, cant do it now as disabled, probably due to all the crazy stuff I did in my youth, grand kids still think I am mental, where's my kids know I am, lol thanks for all the video's looking forward to many more.
