Here in Australia, we have a product called Desert Dwellers. It's a cream which when rubbed on the skin, repels flys. Its made of natural, essential oils. The NZ bush looks beautiful, thanks for sharing your adventure 👏🏻

Enjoyed camping in the rain. I love to camp in rain too. I would like more explanation of where you are when you camp. Here's what I know about NZ = nothing. That would be interesting to me. I had family on my father's side who lived there in the 19th century. More of my family lived in Wales, in Lydney. Enjoy your camping adventures!

Best of luck with going full time Cathy. If you get the chance to do what you love and make a living at it you should go for it. I laughed when you said “traipsing” that’s a word used where I live too! You amaze me with the load you carry and you are not on the flat either. Hats off to you. I would be interested to hear what the temperature you expect on a camp and how mats and bags perform. I don’t mean do reviews, it’s just interesting to hear what has worked or not worked for someone else.

First of all congratulations on going full-time on your channel! Once again you have answered the questions that I haven’t had a chance to ask. I wondered about using a full-size mosquito net intended for an indoor bed and use it under a tarp. You’ve proved that it does work and it’s easy to set up. Thank you.

ha ha, glad I could help! The only downside that I found it that it was quite fragile, so little sticks and leaves easily caught in it, but, not a big deal really for a cheap item.

I love the look of Newzealand and the fact it has way less people then the UK.I don’t dislike people but i am not a lover of big crowds. I love the winter months because I can’t bear too much heat.If i lived there i would probably spend the summer months in the mountain tops where it is cooler 😂 Indi is so adorable and loving.She is like me and lives her bedtime 😊 I am pleased to hear you dedicating more time to what you enjoy doing.So many people are stuck in the working world or the slave system as i call it 😂😂

Hi. Usually if I take Indi it is heavy, due to carrying all her stuff too. Maybe close to 20kg. I don't often weigh my pack incase it scares me (ha ha). Nothing here to prey on humans, thankfully. Annoying things, but nothing to really worry about.

Do you camp in areas that Tony camps? It seems like some areas are familiar. I say "areas" as I don't think that you camp EXACTLY where each other has camped before. Just asking.. :)

You are right, a couple of the places I have camped are in the same area as where Tony camps, including this one here. I like to find unique spots though, especially ones off the track, so haven't camped in the exact spots he has. Most of my trips, probably 8/10, are in a completely different part of the country, about 4-6 hours drive from the areas he frequents.

Hey Kathy, I had a great idea for your KZbin channel. I thought if you were interested in growing your channel, you could go to the Lord of the Rings and The Hobbit filming locations. You could either try and do a camp there or just go there to show us around. My husband has a book called "The Lord of the Rings Location Guidebook" By Ian Brodie.
