I stopped at a Camping World location (yes, in OR), but the units on the lot were either used or damaged. I noticed a huge scratch on one unit and the salesman told me they would buff it out if i purchased that day. Never been back!

I've heard from too many people that Camping World is all about the sale and be damned about the customer or service afterward. This company is all about the almighty dollar where customer satisfaction is not a consideration. To charge additional fees even before delivering the RV is typical for this scumbag company.

Buying an RV has the same concerns as buying any vehicle. Since buyers of RVs tend to be older, I would think they should already know how to complete these purchases, but apparently not. Mentor your kids folks.

now you know why I quit dealing with CW back in the 80's. I know a rv tech who quit his job when cw bought the company he worked for, he said he would not work for a company with cw reputation. He was proud of his work, and he didn't want to be known as a dishonest tech

Shopping for a RV years ago Camping World was along the way to a few other dealers. I stopped and what a mistake that was. The amount of hidden fees and strange charges was comical. Just like any big purchase do your research before heading out. Print out your information or write it down. If it sounds, feels and looks off just walk away.

Was warned about Camping World. Don’t plan to buy from them. The only reputable rv sales store in Md closed its doors about 15 years ago. Charlie’s Camping Center. Idk where to go now.

Though I have bought small items from Camping World, I refused to buy an actual RV from them. All the ones they showed me when I was shopping. Were damaged during shipping, and could not be sold until repairs were made. Yet they were willing to sell me one . With the stipulation I couldn’t take it from the lot until it was repaired. My thoughts were, if it can’t hold together being shipped? It’s not going to hold together with me taking it camping. So, I bought from another smaller company.

Wow, Camping World ripping off customers General RV with subpar customer service and “stay away” warnings from customers. These are two of the biggest dealers with exclusive access to purchase Brinkley and Grand Design. Where do we purchase an RV with good customer service after the sale and without getting ripped off?

There are RV's from the floods back east coming in with just mud in the lower decks for $10k on a class A, just a few years old. True that some need more work, but seems insurance just lists these as a complete loss if they get a bit wet.

Camping wor)d in reno Nevada tried to rip me off by seeking a beaver coach that was advertised as one thing and when I looked at pics, it was a patriot which I called them up and told them about, they guy comes back, will if it is then it's a higher priced coach and I sent him the price comparisons for it and the other one as it was less. I got the run around so finally I said forget it and went about my way and this was all from phone and internet conversations and texts, I then about a week later get a calls saying they want to work with me and I couldn't trust them and ignored them only to later get back a letter turning me down for a loan due to income or something like that so I won't ever deal with camping world again and had a simular episode with the one in Wichita where I was ready to go get it and then supposedly the back needed more info on income so I just stored it and moved on several years ago. They act shady to me and won't recommend anyone use them.

The only time I see a camping world is driving by their locations on the interstate. Marcus Lemonis and his private equity firm own CW. They take the Profit to a whole other level. 😂 I would never do business with a CW ever.
