Whoa, thank you so much Jamie! This means a ton. The Swamp Creature is also one of my favorites from the classics. Theme-wise, we were going for more of his second film "Revenge of the Creature" as you can get revenge on someone by giving them a negative mortal, but I can see how that's definitely more understated. Keep up the great work :)

Hands down, the Creature is the best monster. And the story, setting and cast are great in that one, and all the underwater filming.

This review got me really excited about this game (a game I'd never even heard of). As soon as I saw on BGG that it handles more than three players, it went onto my "must have" list.

2nd Edition base game and Expansion 1 coming to Kickstarter on October 9th! Four new Creatures, some new Mortals, and new Location cards!

I haven't played the other games others or jamie have mentioned however this game comes across as an easier Libertalia like different treasure/innocent sets and monster powers minus the hole power order/collection order. Given how much I love libertalia I wouldn't bother with this simpler version but it does look pretty.

42Randomise I love Libertalia too, but I have a hard time getting the rest of my family or game group into it for some reason. So I think this might be something easier that I might be able to work them into the mindset for the heavier game like Libertalia. I'm definitely interested in at least playing this one to see, and might even pick it up.

Wow I can remember watching Sat. Night 8:00pm Creature Feature show as kid and loving it. I now own a lot of the great 1930 B/W movies. In the 60's Clint Eastwood is in the Movie Return of the Creature and even though you can't see his face he is a pilot in Tarantula. Also Steve McQueen in the Blob. I think it is a great touch is having the cards look like Movie Posters. Jamie have you ever watched the old B/W Outer Limits shows? These were far superior to the new show.

YEAH! Clint is the scientist who loses the lab mouse and realizes he put it in his pocket, hahaha. Definitely watched The Outer Limit as well as The Twilight Zone. Rod Serling could write his ass off man. Been a hell of a long time since I watch OL though. I should go back and watch again one of these days.

Hy, 2 player green and purple. Green is first on the clashometer. What happens if both reveal the blob ? I think greens ability goes first because green is on top of the clashometer. Lets say green chooses the invader for copying his strength of 4. Now the purple player can choose a creature. He takes the werewolf. So, the strength of the werwolf is higher (5) than the strength of the invader. Purple can capture first a mortal. Is that right ? Although green has the advantage of the clashometer, purple beats him by taking a higher numered creature. 1
