C'Mon, person! GM is leading the EV revolution, according to Joe regime

Toyota missed the boat, it left the dock without their cars. They could have dominated by simply focusing on making their hybrids plugin, but the plugin priuis where so expensive nobody was buying them. If they were smaller cheaper (prius C) with bigger plugins and prius C prices, they would be leading sales, not dragging their feet. Just like walmart lost to amazon, toyota was too successful to see the future (was not hydrogen dumbasses)

Toyota's focus on hybrid is correct Ev and Ice - do not make sense when time tested hybrid is available

Lol what? No it doesn't, not even close. They seemingly have dropped a more powerful powertrain, took some bits from the Accord and left the lethargic CVT as the only transmission. This is possibly the most disappointing Camry I've seen, next to the 2000-2006 era.

There’s rumors of a more powerful version coming. The car has dual exhaust spaces in bumper but only a single exhaust. Maybe a prime version?

Have you looked at gas prices recently? Even with a hybrid, gas is still so expensive. The endpoint is all EVs, how they get there is their decision. Aside from the media, I am not sure I met a single person who likes Mary Bara. She lies so much, it's pretty much her modus operanda.

I think higher gas prices have helped many buyers justify hybrids. The end point is definitely all EVs, but the question is when. 💯 on Barra

I think PHEVs will be a much more practical end point over the next decade. If manufacturers sell plug-in hybrids with 75-100 miles of EV range and a small gas tank, over 95% of people's driving will be covered by the battery. That would achieve a near-zero emissions goal without the exorbitant costs associated with full BEVs, and the charging infrastructure would not need to be anywhere as robust.
