The destructiveness from the cannon blast whether a tank or stationary artillery is much greater than depicted in these UEBS sim games. In this game it seems to destroy just a relative few guys when in closer to reality it should be a much higher number.

Agreed. The Vikings likely would have never gotten past the 2nd line before 90% of the forces were wiped out in the large clusters forming. That 10% would have never made it to the first wave of stationary artillery. It was a duck hunt at best.

You cannot expect much from a 76 or even a 90 mm gun, with less than 1 kg HE inside the shell. And we see vikings scattered by blasts even dozens meters away. Definitively not a weak blast.

A few more tanks, especially in front of the troops in the last line would have done it. The tanks serve as a good distraction for an enemy and can hold on for a minute or two, giving the infantry a little protection and breathing room so they have time to get their kill count up.

You really limited the special forces with a static defence. It greatly diminishes the character's strength.

Question, no crew served weapons? Cluster munitions? Plus, how does a fighter from the Middle Ages kill an armored vehicle, tank or otherwise? The armored vehicles have no capacity to fire and maneuver? No modern army would just sit in a static defensive position to be killed.

The first thing that should be questioned is the modern forces would run out of ammo within the first 5 minutes. They would be forced to fight hand to hand with vikings. The soy guzzling limp wristed modern military would be swarmed within minutes.

Static or not....this sim sucks due to a lack of calibration to reality..... modern infantry supported by TANKS and ARTILLERY would have achieved a 100:1 kill ratio meaning at best/worst it's a DRAW. DUMB....PLAIN n SIMPLY
