The fact is, that route is not suitable for motorhomes and caravans. Just because you can, doesn't mean you should ! People living in remote communities rely on the road not being blocked for emergency services, etc.

@motorhomemavericks1 Yes ! Cars are easy to reverse if you meet an emergency vehicle on a long stretch between passing places. We are caravanners ourselves, so I'm not against Motorhomes, but this road is not suitable. There are signs advising this, but they are regularly covered up by those who think they should be able to go where they want, so I understand if you didn't see them. There have been innumerable problems with leisure vehicles on this road. It's just not designed for the huge influx of tourism caused by the so called NC500 !

@@motorhomemavericks1 I'm opposed to large vehicles for mass tourism. As I said, the infrastructure can't cope. I will admit that the greed of some local businesses has helped fuel this.

Hi Lisa and Spencer, I am really enjoying your videos of Scotland and the NC500. We are currently on the East Coast at Lossiemouth (in our Identical Pulse GT 22 plate) and couldn't make up our minds whether to go to the West Coast because of the midges. I have a feeling we met last July in Llanberis, as to be honest, you are both memorable characters ;-). My husband and I were travelling in two separate vans. Are you on Instagram? @44buddhist Hi, and thank you for watching our videos. We was in Lossiemouth earlier in the year on the seafront park up. Lovely place. We were in Llanberis last July in the carpark on the lake. Think you two were opposite us - have you got a dog? Definitely remember having a chat with a couple in separate vans (not a Pulse though)about van life and state control🤣 We visit the Highlands quite often in summer and the midges aren't great (to the point of ruining everything). Hence why we went in winter. The rubbish weather should help though. Yes, we are on instra - NorthofWatford & Loopylis13. Give us a follow and we'll follow back.

@@motorhomemavericks1 Yes...sort of. We got a paddleboard and a kayak. How on earth do you manage to have enough space in your garage for two bikes and live full time. We are full-timing and our garage is rammed, with the bikes on a carrier on the back.

@44buddhist We take front wheels off bikes, play a bit of tetras and made a few sacrifices - like very small outside chairs, no table etc. Are you happy with your new rig? We love ours, first out of 4 MHs we've had with no major gripes

This road is not suitable for your vehicle...No consideration for anyone but yourselves...the locals and emergency services need to use this road...and run into problems all the time...thanks to people like you....zero thought for anyone but yourselves...The sign clearly says no large vehicles....Have some consideration for others who need to use this road...

Shouldn't be on the pass with motorhomes. If anything happens your insurance is VOID. Also your brakes heat up as you decend the steep braes. You could suffer brake fade.
