Billy at Parma Pastures Farm and his family has helped me so much in learning about comfrey
@virginiaseedsskogen20384 ай бұрын
I bought comfrey roots from Billy & Michele at Perma Pastures Farm. The roots took a couple months to get growing but once the start, they grow very well and come back every year even in our zone 4a-4b.

For pain I soak equal parts of dried comfrey, arnica flowers, and peppermint leaves in avocado oil for 3 months… after the 3 months I strain and make salve with beeswax and shea butter… works wonders!!! Thank you for sharing!! Much love from Canada NB

I made a salve with cannibis, comphrey, and stinging nettle. Did not use essential oils though like to keep it natural
@Mygardendiary3 ай бұрын
How did that work out?
@paulpaul50983 ай бұрын
@Mygardendiary worked out great except the smell, lol. But I only use it on my feet and knees before bed. I use it for RLS, and it helps me with the twitching and pinching in my feet

@@paulpaul5098 I use a Levo Machine to infuse. It’s not cheap, but makes it easy. You should do a video on this recipe.

@Mygardendiary what is a Levo machine? I just pick all my plants except for the cannibis. " I usually get freebies, and I didn't know what to use it for, so I researched and decided to use it for salve. About doing a video that might happen in the future. Thank you

How does the good stuff get extracted out of the comfrey powder?
@Mygardendiary6 ай бұрын
It works really well as a topical. The bees wax and olive oil are the carriers.
@sandyhancock20205 ай бұрын
Can the comfrey be infused with a mixture of olive oil and castor oil
@Mygardendiary5 ай бұрын
It needs a carrier. That would be the beeswax. I’m sure it would be fine but it would always have that oil consistency. The beeswax will last a long time, it’s worth the investment.
@sandyhancock20205 ай бұрын
@@Mygardendiary I wasn’t referring to eliminating the beeswax .. I was thinking of using a little less olive oil and replacing it with castor oil to make a mixture
@paulpaul50983 ай бұрын
@sandyhancock2020 Yes, you could use those two oils as your carrier oil. And the bee's wax you would use to mix with your oils for the salve thickness.
