Wow thanks for this video! Was joking to my wife about using FSD on pikes peak a few months ago but you actually did it! I clenched a few times watching this 😂

Thoroughly enjoyed this video on regular speed, the blinker on the curve, the acceleration, the burning brakes. I learned a lot 💜 Love to see you in Dad mode, which is one's greatest achievement

Gotta admit I was really nervous going up and coming down, but then I thought - hey! Marc and his son made it down, so I’ll be OK too! Thanks for that awesome experience!

I dig the concept. Tips: exterior mounted GoPro for max view and spend handsfree time mixing an instrumental track in the style of Fast Fashion- that'd be replay value!

Enjoyed the videos both up and down the mountain. But what is the purpose of the white bales on side of the roadway?

I've been up several times, but I admit with you I had a couple of pucker moments, but then I realized I was watching at 2x speed. Wow it was a whole new kind of ride. Thanx for the video.

There was so much talk about the old sign was that was yellow or perhaps orange before but is now a new sign, that I actually skipped back 30 seconds just so I could get another look at the sign there was so much discussion about 🤣🤣🤣

I'm in the middle of watching. I guess, due to the lack of signal, you weren't able to assign a destination; I miss seeing the map representation up in the right corner (that showed the switchbacks upcoming.) Ah... you just mentioned it. Thanks! (Just a thought... Starlink might be an option for those mountain roads in the National Parks, where signal is sparse. I haven't used it, but I've seen some video of folks who have, and they like it. If I were ever to get out in the wilds again, I would seriously consider the investment. I'm afraid my days of high adventure are long since passed. Ah, well.) Interesting about the brakes. I'm in the middle of the video, you're behind the caravan of cars led by the one with the burning brakes! Assuming your brakes aren't overheated, I'd love to see you take a temperature reading at the bottom (or whenever the max brake heating would have been over). I'm curious. But, hey... great advertising for Teslas! "Are your brakes overheating? Tesla Regen!" HA! 2x. Yeah... I watch everything at 1.5x. Watching FSD at 2x is too nerve wracking! 1.5 is the fastest I can watch. And... it's fine. You're doing great! All done. Thank you for the watch. I would love to see a brake temperature comparison of a vehicle without regen, and one with. I don't have any advice on a camera. The last dedicated video camera I had was an old Sony camcorder that used a magnetic tape cartridge! I think that was 1995 to 1999, when the house was burglarized, and they got the camcorder! Augh! Since the advent of the smart phone, I've been using that to take all my videos. No problems with any of my phones overheating. Of course, I'm not ever going to publish any of the videos. They're basically just home movies. And, no one wants to watch my home movies. Ha! Even I don't watch them! I mentioned in my comment on the last video that my son had a Model Y 2020. This past Thanksgiving, on his way home from our house, a suicidal deer leaped out in front of him from a low spot on the side of the road. My son didn't see it. The car didn't see it. Boom. The car was totaled... but still driveable. My son drove it home. But, it was definitely messed up. And, the insurance totaled it out. He took that money and paid off all the rest of his debts. (Smart kid.) He's looking forward to getting his next Tesla, though. And, I don't blame him. I liked the Model Y just fine, except that the way the driver's side wheel well pooched into the floor space of the cabin, my left foot had to sit at a slightly pitched pigeon-toed angle. Not bad for half an hour, but if I drove it much longer than that, it really bothered my whole leg. (Not the car's fault. I have arthritic issues. That situation just exacerbated it. I have test driven the Model X, a vehicle which is 3 inches wider, and that was nice. I could live with that, but I'm not willing to spend that kind of money. (Because I'm cheap.) I also test drove the new Model 3. And... Wow! It's a great little car! If I could actually bend over sufficiently to get into it without any difficulty, I'd grab one today! Despite its being smaller than the Y (and, I would miss the cargo space), I was able to sit with my left leg at a normal angle. Not sure why the Y is built as it is, but that wheel well bump out is definitely wider in the Y. I'm hoping that the Model Y refresh will remedy that space situation. I'll just have to wait and see. Of course, they will be coming out with a new vehicle type here in the next year or so. I might just wait. (I'd contemplate a Cybertruck, but I don't need a truck (a minivan would be nice...) and, the price is in the Model X range, so... yeah... nope. We'll see how it goes. Thank you again for the watch. I'm glad to know that the Model Y and FSD can make it there and back again with no interventions. I'll look forward to the day when I can take my Model ??? on the same trip! Have a great summer! Stay safe out there!

Why is every self driving video show a car driving at 25mph... is that how slow people drive on roads like this in USA? It would be 60MPH in the uk on a road like this.
