Don't listen to all the morons in the comments. Like your Review. Many people look at this and think that it's supposed to be an Offroad Vehicle. And it's really not. What it does do exceptionally well is give the Passat Family Car the ability to be the ultimate Caravan Platform. Ever tried to pull a heavy Top of the Line Caravan up a muddy slope to get back to the main road at the end of your stay? Well, now you can and without breaking a sweat, while the Kids in the back are already engrossed in their DVDs. We bought ours after our previous car had real trouble pulling our Caravan through the passes of southern Tirol and no complaints. Plus it looks gorgeous, much better than the normal Passat, and that's already no slouch. Now do i wish you would've tested more, especially pulling something through mud or over grass? Yeah, but anybody who thinks that driving this over rocks and through rivers is a good idea, hasn't understood what the purpose of this car is. The purpose of this car is to be able to handle everything a NORMAL FAMILY can possibly encounter in their daily lives and on vacation and do it with a superb level of comfort on a normal (high-)middleclass budget. This isn't going to race a n Audi RS4 and it's not going on a Rally through the Sahara.
