Testing out some AI design tools to see if they can read my drawn wireframe designs, to create a web page. I loved seeing how the AI tried to figure out some of my scribbles, and looking into where it got parts right, or got parts (very) wrong. What do you think of the use of AI in web design?
🚀 CharliMarieTV is powered by Figma! charli.link/figma
Figma is a design tool that helps teams create, test, and ship better designs from start to finish. And it's free! :)

Appreciate seeing videos like these, since as a junior designer and longtime creative, the AI hype tends to introduce more anxiety than excitement for me

Just watched your video from 4 years ago! Crazy how we went from free assets to having AI tools designing. Still not worried! Design thinking is irreplaceable. Solutions are never a one size fits all

This was such a great video! I'd love to see you turn this into a series and do one every year to see how AI design tools evolve over time.

First of all, what happened "click the heart if you liked this issue" on the Marketing Dispatch? I do miss it. (Okay, rant over). I really loved the idea in Uizard where you can convert items back to wireframes, like you said, it really would help set the expectation when requesting feedback from managers and stakeholders. Your editor was really having fun with your reactions. Thumbs up to your editor, I really loved the editing. I have used ChatGPT and maybe Bard in for brainstorming.

I wonder what would happen if you used computer-generated wireframes (Figma or almost any other wire-framing tool) instead of a hand-drawn sketch? Not saying you can't draw but I'm sure you get the point. Also, if it's true AI it learns every time it's used, and improves - exponentially. Brace yourself.

Do you have any suggestions of how we can brace ourselves? Thanks!

@milutinmilicevic4298 Yes. Think about how to weave such tools into your workflow to drive efficiency and spark creativity. Soon enough they'll be able to get you 80% of the way. The remaining 20% is yours to insert your unique individual creativity, ensuring a first-class brand and user experience. These tools can increase your effective hourly rate and market competitiveness. Use the freed-up time to improve your lifestyle or perhaps to get a headstart on the next job.

Exactly, I always find it funny when I show people AI tools or what not and everyone says the same thing, 'this works like crap'. It's about 1-5 years down the line, not today.
