What’s the exact tire size and rim🤔 seen some defender wheels 27x9R14 and 27x11R14 I want to put on my base model 24 outlander 850 stock suspension but not sure of fitment.
@briansmith23996 ай бұрын
The originals were 26", new ones are 30x10-14 Rip-Saw R/T on Tusk Uinta Beadlock Wheel 14x7 4.0 + 3.0. I am not sure on a 2024 but 27' would have been the largest tire I could have on my 2020. I did a complete upgrade to the suspension (with clutch also), which pushed them out 2" front and back. That made room for the 30s. I got the idea from this youtube video kzbin.info/www/bejne/gHqqkpSch7-Vms0. It helped me out alot. I do believe that the sizes you listed above would fit, the stock suspension would be the question mark. I love CanAm (sorry KCATV 🙂), but their stock suspension is not the best. I will say that the upgrade was well worth it, I can go about anywhere now with confidence.

Is it made wider by the arms or the wheels are offset?
@kcatv95565 ай бұрын
I believe that arms are wider and the wheel off set as well is making it wider. Thanks for checking out the video!

Ya better start trimming some footwells right now because those tires are going to rub. If you soften the suspension.. You gonna rub all day long...1:57 that's not enough clearance.. Sorry for the bad news Brian.. ☹I have the same quad (but a shorty) and I'm 51 inches across with offset wheels with different footwells...
@kcatv955611 ай бұрын
Good info Todd, I’m not sure if he was having rubbing issues that weekend or not. I guess he would know when he got home. Got it cleaned up and checked for tire rub? Thanks for watching my friend!
@briansmith239911 ай бұрын
Actually I had no rubbing at all, even after setting the shocks softer. I went with this setup for that reason, I did not want to have to trim or get new footwells. I am curious if you changed out your A-arms/trailing arms, that is key to no rubbing as it moves the front and back tires forward/back two inches.

Wow, looks good. Making it wider sure turned it mean looking! Sweeeeet ride!

Yeah, his machine turned out really nice. The bigger tires really helps it. crawl up some of the rocky terrain as well. Thanks for checking out the video!
