Okay but hear me out. Randomizer challenge WITH B-Spec AI.

The fact that he actually has no real idea what hes doing, doesn't understand the realistic effects of adding parts, doesn't take advantage of adjusting the cars aerodynamics rather than adding HP, and re tries on previously practiced tracks (even if they were lost races) really add a form of entertainment for constant unexpected outcomes because the b spec driver learns over time and takes care of most of the hard work with what it has.

I think the reason why the B-Spec stopped for a while when getting back on track after spun out was to avoid accident with the AI that was on the track. B-Spec wating until the track is clear enough to come back. Or maybe he's confused what he should do since he wasn't on the "racing line". And he wants to go back to the "racing line" he left as fast as he can rather than finding a best way to go back om track and keep moving

This was actually my first ever gt4 run when I was a kid, because I sucked so bad at racing games, but loved the cars. I made it until the world championship actually, even beat the supercar festival. Now I play racing games legit with decent skill, but gives me memories of my incompetency lol.

I got a good appreciation for B-spec mode when doing Endurance races. Usually, if you have an overpowered car, you can set it to a reduced (and safe) pace, and the car will usually win without issues. As a side note, if you want an even better LMP car, you can use the Minolta in the Fuji 1000 km race, and easily win the Nissan R92CP

tbh when I was a kid I played B-spec with a Nissan 300ZX because it was so powerful when i upgraded it to the brim that only the IA could manage it (at speed 2), but it was a money machine so i could buy anything with some grind, basically making GT4 a roblox tycoon

I remember running B-spec a lot, it was cool because it actually made some of the endurance races possible for me due to the fast forwarding. I used to leave it running while I went swimming with my friends and was excited to see what reward it would give after we got back. Good times

Something I learned through my last playthrough is the chassis rigidity refresh is necessary for B spec, not doing so results in the B spec driver crashing/going off course regardless of driving skill, this is especially noticeable in faster cars and technical tracks, mistakes can still be made, but they're more common with a worn out chassis

A bit late on watching this, but as someone who tried this challenge once upon a time, the only thing the B-Spec AI can't win is the Opel Speedster Cup One-Make Race, the AI there has cars that are all fully upgraded for some reason, making it nigh-impossible for a B-Spec driver to win it

This is the true way to play GT4 lol; I have only played around 100 ish hours A-spec and 10,000's of hours B-Spec BOB, since it's the most fun way to play the game, I could probably called the B-spec king. Also, you should leave overtake on regardless as there is no penalty to having it on and only use push hard when you are struggling to overtake someone, overwise just leave it on the 3rd or 4th setting if you have good tyres.

My first GT4 experience(as in like 10 or sth idk) was mostly B-SPEC. I honed B-Spec driver's skills in manufacturers cups and national cups and always chose cars far faster than the competition. Best option is to set it at 3 or 4 and keep "Overtake" on.

True.. but the tyre wear would be far worse when you put it to full.. my recommendation is only set to 3-4 before you get p1.. after that, set to 1-2.. well this is for endurance races lol

Also, he should have bought a crossfire for a Viper GTSR which wrecks the US Championship and gives you an OP Chevelle that can be entered into classic muscle and the classic car event.

@@Leemacht I've never used Chevelle.. but the Cobra 427 is really really op too imo.. just watch which model you get because in the game, there's 2 Cobra 427.. one is from AC and the other is Shelby.. I don't remember which one is it, but one of the Cobra's can do 170mph quite easily on stock

If you would have done the Special Conditions Event race - Rally Costa di Amalfi (Easy), you would have won a prize car worth $350,000 when sold. All you need is a B license for it. You can also do that race over and over again to get the prize car and the money from selling it. This is how you get as much money as you want in a very short time.

Wanna hear a pain moment from when I let the AI race for me at the endurance race at Laguna Seca? The driver spun out on the cork screw because of bad tires and got stuck facing uphill. The AI was actually unable to get out of the gravel. While he was in first place. ON THE LAST LAP OF THE ENDURANCE RACE! Anyways, great video, you sure put a lot of effort in that one! For me, playing GT4 back then on B-spec was done out of necessity, because I don't have a PS2, and my PC wasn't good enough to emulate PS2 properly. B-Spec screen seems to only use 2D images, so the emulator was able to emulate the game at 100% speed.

B-Spec was pretty much how my dad beat the game, other than slight intervention by him (for context, when it came out, I was 6 and he was 42) but once I started playing it I mostly insisted on A-spec. Both styles do work so long as you know how to play the game well, but racing B-Spec alone is super hard.

Was doing a 24 Hour race in B-Spec using the GT40, the AI driver completely broke overnight. Not sure how he got in that situation, but he was driving face first into the wall, then backing up a bit before driving right back into the wall. To say I was less than pleased with him is an understatement.

Actually there's an alternative way to get an LMP cars for GT world championship without having to complete 25% of the game and doing an endurance race You can do the Deutsche touring car meisterschaft (DTCM ) repeatedly, this championship is one of the fastest way to get huge amount of cash in the game -75k for winning the championship -15k for getting 1st in any event ( you can get total of 75k if you win all of the races ) - And the prize car ( CLK GTR ) is worth about 734k if you sell it You can earn more than 800k just to do this championship once, you can repeat this champion 4/5 times and you'll get more than 3.4 - 4 millions of cash, then go to the jaguar dealership and buy yourself a JAGUAR XJ-R9 RACE CAR for 3.5 million, also this car was cheapest LMP cars you could buy because other buy-able LMP cars was usually worth 4.5 million ( CMIIW ) also XJ-R9 has simillar stock horsepower with 88cv toyota ( the XJ has 749 and the 88cv has 788 )
