I think I know why malenia is so op, at least in these fights: normally, in game design, players have high damage, low health, and enemies have high health, low damage. This makes the player feel stronger, because their damage numbers are bigger compared to their health. In Elden ring, this remains mostly true. The difference is that individual hits from the enemies have high damage, but are easy to dodge, resulting in overall higher damage. Enemies don’t dodge (usually, and when they do, they have lower health), which is why these fights work. Now, Malenia’s healing is based off the damage she does. Against a player, dodging her attacks, it’s not much. Against other bosses who don’t? She has so much healing. Not to mention with her fluttery jumpiness, she sort of dodges too, and her arena has scaling values just for her, which are the highest in the game. Oh, and I almost forgot: scarlet rot is op, but that’s kind of just the cherry on top. The pure damage of her flower kills most things before the rot can even do any work.

Hey Bjorn check this out can you do make the rotten duelist duo vs all bosses ? do the following : -use both the strongest version of the axe and hammer variation and scale them to Haligtree roots level scaling -give them the same poise as crucible knight (turn it to 80 instead of 65) since lore wise duelists are a big match and Competitor for crucible knights but the game wise did them horribly and because of that they are huge pushovers) -give them stagger immunity like the crucible knights for the same reason above -give them the same physical and elemenal damage types resistances (except for fire damage resistance) of the crucible knight for also the same reason above -increase the duration of their war cry and raise the buffs gained from their war cry (buff its gains 3x times so it won't go wasted) for also the same reason above -give them both the same poise damage that the crucible knights have to be lore accurate -enable grabs since the axe variation have a strong grab -give the hammer variation double poise damage (do this after making their poise damage the same as crucible knights) -add pierce damage to the hammer variation whenever he uses the pointy part of his hammer in his moveset -give the axe varation double damage whenever he uses his axe to be lore accurate -disable team effectivity shit because it nerfs the duos in the game -raise their aggression to max to be lore accurate (lore wise they are aggressive as shit) -give them the same rot resistance of Placidusax -enable and stack the buff of winged and rotten winged sword insignia (thus it become 9%,13% and 23%) for all their attacks whenever they do to be lore accurate chain of attacks (make it 3 seconds duration until the next attack land since both give 1.5 second suration for the next attack to land) -enable and stack kindred of rot exultation and mushroom crown buff (thus it become 30%) for all their attacks whenever something nearby suffers from poison or rot for 40 seconds (since both give 20 seconds) to be lore accurate -buff the rotten breath they release to do the same damage as the putid avatar rot -buff their rot damage so it deals the same damage as the putrid avatar rot -do a fight of them against crucible knight duo in the end of the video and enable grabs (scale them equally to Haligtre roots scaling, for the crucible knight shield version make a version that include all the shield variant moveset , for the crucible knight spear version enable the grab, apply the 16% buff they gain from their armor set to their spells and ashes of war whenever they use them, apply the 10% buff of ritual sword talisman (incantations included) for all damage types (both incantations and normal attacks) for both crcible knights and apply the buff of ritual shield talisman which is 10% more protection on all damage types for crucible knight shield version only whenever he uses his shield to block, apply the healing of blessed dew talisman since lore wise they actually heal but instead of its original effect which is 2 hp/s make it 16 hp/s to make it lore accurate) in the Leyndell colloseum arena (because lore wise this was the place were the fighs of the crucible knights and duelists took place) to make a lore accurate fight :) -make another fight where it goes : Rykard and the rotten duelists duo vs Godfrey and the crucible knight duo in Leyndell colloseum arena to see the outcome :) -enable their cut content intro for more epicness :)
