Can Anything Stop Novak Djokovic?
How many times have we seen it happen? Just when you think he’s down and out, Novak Djokovic always finds a way and the will to do so when it matters most at the age of 35. As a result, the single question on everyone’s mind is - How much longer?

@@guruk I feel like this year is the one though...he is allowed to play AO now and is clearly a favourite for Sunday's final against SissyPuss, then he is once again heavy favourite for the Wimbledon and i'm not exactly sure Nadal will even be healthy enough for this year's Roland Garros and whenever there is no healthy Nadal at RG the chances for Novak to win the title there are skyrocketed tenfolds! And while it is uncertain whether Novak will be allowed to play USO or not by the time it takes play it is very likely that he will attempting some sort of exemption to try and get into the country if he will be on third leg of CYGS by that time, i would imagine to complete the CYGS he would try everything possible and impossible in order to play at the USO! I still think Novak will win a couple of masters in 2023 despite not being able to play at multiple of them! Plus his title defense at year-end championships always looks likely in his great form! My prediction is 3 or all 4 grand slam titles, 1 or 2 masters, 2 or 3 ATP500/250 level titles and year-end championships title to boot! This year is going to be greatest year for Novak since the famous 2015! You just watch! And off course naturally with results like these nobody else is going to be close enough to challenge him for the year-end #1 as race rankings wise he will be head and shoulders above everyone else!

I do believe that he could reach to a final match at grandslam at 38 or 39 years old. And when he retired, he could have 25-28 or even more grand slam titles. 1 more Wimbledon, he will hold the record of most grand slam champion (AO - now, Wimbledon - tie w Roger) and 1 more Roland Garros, after a 1st man in open era to won all 4gs at least twice, now become a 1st man to win all 4gs at least 3rd time. Why silly question like this? When will his reign end? seriously?! So you have a GOAT tier player, which is 1 grand slam title away of equalling an all-time men's record and 2 away from setting new one and you are wondering why there is nobody, who can stop him on his tracks?! REALLY?!...well now...i'm sorry if that sounds like revelation to you, but he has plenty of reasons to stay motivated and slam record is one of them! Does anyone really that naive enough to believe Djoko will allow Bull get away with slam record after all the hard work he put in trying to catch up with Fedal?! If someone really thinks so he has another thing coming...LOL ...Djokovic will not only set new men's record, but he will break women's record as well! He is only month away from equally Graf's 377 weeks reign on top and 5 weeks away from breaking it, he is still 1 year-end finish as #1 away from her record of 8 year-end #1 finishes, which is also likely to equal by the end of this year, he is 3 slams away from equaling Margaret Court's 24 grand slams record (which he is more than capable of doing, starting closing that gap as soon as only in a few days of this year's AO championships!) and he might as well attempt another CYGS if he gets lucky draw at RG this season and will deal with his hamstring injury by the time tournament takes place! Not to mention the prospect of still being able to win olympic gold and fill all the empty gaps in his career resume next year! Might as well attempt Connors' open era record of 109 titles and it absolutely worst have realistic chances of surpassing Federer's mark of 103 career ATP titles! When all of the women'[s records will either fall or be equaled as well as olympic games will be concluded is when he will start slowing down and that is when other youngster will finally get their ways to the biggest titles!...Meanwhile he will be busy achieving all those feats and milestones! LOL

The only player that could give him a scare or a real challenge is Alcaraz. Novak will win the AO in 4 sets unless his really injured left leg gives him trouble. His ground strokes are on another level for example he would be 97-98 whereas the others Alcaraz 92-93 begin generous, the rest below 90even 85. so No chance, .Novak is just too good and a very smart player. The most singles titles record is unlikely to fall, only because Connors built that by playing almost constantly and appearing in lots of what would now be classified as 250-level events where the next-best player would be ranked 30 or more places behind him. Nole has nothing to prove in that sort of event, and even ignores many of the 500-level ones to avoid over-stressing his body. Obviously if he decided this was a record he truly wanted he could go after it (show up at the smaller 250 events where the top seed is someone who'd be unseeded at the slams), but obviously finishing first in slams and extending weeks at #1 to an unbreakable number are more important to him.

every time i watch Novak's videos in KZbin... i think why it's so hard for others to beat him... he doesn't have the strongest serve, forehand etc.. but i think it's his mind.... he just refuses to lose.....

If anything can stop him now, that would be time. He has mastered his body and his mind to a level that makes him feel unbreakable, he remains up to date with his oponents' level to a point that he doesn't look nor feel his age and he clearly wants to keep competing to the best of his abilities. Only time will tell how sustainable of a system he has.

Novak is vulnerable in best of 3 tournaments, but is very tough to beat in best of 5 as he can play at high level longer and goes to lock down mode in tie breakers. Injuries are the only thing that will keep him from winning more majors. And maybe any family strife.

He's of a different material to other greats...Neither family, nor other distractions have lowered his intensity...His body is the only concern but he's become more aggressive, brought in more science and tech to help his body, hyperbaric chambers. His dedication is like no one else's including his extreme diet and fasting. That is why his body is holding while Nadal's is collapsing. He just needs to find a way to stay fresh for the 2 weeks of a grandslam.

If your life depended on it and you had to pick a player to save your life in a tennis match on a random surface, you would pick Novak Djokovic or you would die. No prime Federer, no prime Nadal. Prime Djokovic. Simple as that. Rest of the stats are just semantics.

I don't see much competition on hard courts like AO and USO as the bounce and speed stay relatively uniform. The youngsters can bring their extra power and speed and that will make a difference in Wimbledon and FO.

The only players that pose a threat to Djokovic in slams right now are Medvedev, Theim when recovered and Nadal in roland garros. Zverev, Tsitsipas, Kyrgios, Alcaraz, Rune and sinner can only poke him. they can push Novak to 5 sets but they can never transcend him. Ruud, Rublev and Aliassime can only dream of beating Novak
@brando4422
@brando4422 Жыл бұрын
Theim isn't gonna be much of a threat. Will see with Medvedev but I think he already peaked and can get in the groove for another but consistently I think he's gonna find it much harder with a good solid group of 19 to 22 yr.olds. Theim is another Del potro who wore the wrist out and is almost 30.

I really hope Tsitsipas can give him a run for his money, if not defeat him. I would take great pleasure seeing him lose, and Rafa remain 1 slam ahead. Unfortunately, there are more chances for the Serbian clown.. hopefully still denied entry into the USA, and not a clay court specialist for the French Open (or Rafa wins that).

The only thing can stop Novak is Novak retire! Nadal can only stop him maybe French open or clay court but hard courts or grass courts Novak rules! I don’t remembered the last time Nadal Vs Novak final hard or grass courts. Yes, Nadal won 2022 but Novak was removed from the Australia open because of not vaccinated! Novak will rules all the ways because his mind sets is too powerful!
