The most positive thing I can think of for the new Aquaman movie is that maybe it can have some success coming out at this time of year. People usually really like going out to watch theatre movies around Xmas so it might have that going for it. But with more negative points attached to it, I’m leaning towards it might eat it big time at the box office

I'm with Roxy, I think Aquaman 2 will make money. It won't be a smash hit like the first one was and it'll underperform here in the states, but worldwide, I think it'll still do alright when all is said and done. I hope so anyway. I also hope Anyone But You does well. I want to see more movies like that in theaters. As for Rebel Moon, I think the question we should be asking is why didn't Zack Snyder simply make it a TV series? From what I understand, the director's cut is 4 or 5 hours long and I assume that's the case for the 2nd one as well, so it would've made much more sense for this to be an 8-10 episode first season. Snyder wouldn't have to cut or censor anything. I'm still gonna watch it, though. It looks awesome as hell. And I don't really care for Percy Jackson, but I'm glad people are digging it so far. By the way, I was hoping Roxy was gonna come through with that audio recording of her nympho neighbor she talked about last week. I'm curious what the latest news is with her.

No way this movie can make a profit, part of the reason the first movie did so well is that it made $300m in china. The demand for western movies in that country has largerly disappeared since 2018-2019. Without China it would need to do at least as well as the first movie did domestically ($300m + ) which I dont see happening,, as there is just too much going againt this movie.

I don't think it's possible for Aquaman to make anything or even break even. Not only is there controversy surrounding the movie because of Heard, but the movie won't matter. There's no real reason to watch it and it hasn't exactly gotten good marketing. I think WB is just trying to get this last dcu movie out of the way so they can move on to the new dceu and other new stuff,

I hope James Gunn turns things around with Superman in 2025, But Given Aquaman cost $250m, (maybe more with re-shoots ), the general public have lost a lot on interest in superhero movies at the moment, and the reactions for the movie are not good, I think its safe to say not only will aquman not break-even, it could be a bigger flop the the Flash and the Marvels..

The one thing that might help it at least brake even is the international box office potential. The first Aquaman made almost $300 million in China alone so if Aquaman 2 plays well in that region then that might be a good bump for their overall box office. I can’t remember if this one has a release date in China though

Comic book movies are struggling imo cuz everything thats come out this past year have consistently been really bad, jading all potential movie goers right now. I think Aquaman will not back their money back either, especially since potential fans I believe will do their buzz around the movie homework and hear about the "reshoot" and for me thats pretty loaded as "not good, they running around trying to put the fires out", and if rumors are true that the movie is still bad then word of mouth after initial watchers will kill it even more. As stated before and being one of those "Geeks" I feel like watching the legacy DC movies before the Gunn's DC feels like a waste of time on a saga you know will be the end of without even an actual conclusion that would be made for it, since as a movie goer to comic book series weve been conditioned to watch the singular hero movies that leads to an Avengers saga ensamble finale which were not going to get, so now its just "Lets just wait for Gunn to start up the 'real' DCU.

I agree with Roxy but I agree reality of Kristian.. I still think casual fans could show up who probably not I'm comic book circle and angry muppets who know its a wet fart because James Gunn says its meaningless going foward. Doesn't have to make billions but it might make something for folks who like first film and Jason Mamoa. Also maybe some don't like Amber Heard might enjoy since it's less of her in it. Either way I'm not thrilled or smiling for failure. I hope it does well aside it possibly being generic like all the other DC and Marvel films lstely.

Critics praising the dull boring Dune movie with the worst cliffhanger are the same people hating on Rebel Moon like it’s running for Oscar nominations.
