Thanks for sharing. I haven't tried boron on new plantings yet, but you have convinced me to try it in our garden. I have had tremendous results with adding boron to my persimmon trees. The amount of fruit produced has greatly increased since we started boron treatments! I treat them when the leaves are just starting to bud in the spring. This year we are going to add a second treatment to a control group about a month before fruit begins to appear. Once our chestnut trees are old enough to produce, I will be treating them with boron, too.

Borax can be used in the garden, I use it for foliars for wine grapes and to spray on the soil surface as boron is a problem in sandy soils and is necessary for grapes to set fruit.

Gee... If you showed us treated soils at proper boron levels vs. Deficient soil plants... I would share this with everybody.⚡🤔🌀🌀🍀🍻❤ I guess I will have to do my own trials, and do all the showing off for myself.😁 Vey helpful info. Mahalo from Hawaii. (I searched and got this video - after finding out that volcanic soils can have unavailable boron, and often very little, if it dries up.)

My soil test from you guys said my Boron was at 0.07. How many grams of Borax should I use for 100 sf of raised bed?

The equivalent rate of Borax from this video for 100 s.f. is 4.5 g. I always prefer to mix with water and soil apply. Thanks for watching!

@@BrandonCamp-i3v The ppm change will be dependent on several soil-plant factors but should be moving your values in the right direction. Follow up testing will let you evaluate how to adjust rates or the number of applications. Thanks again!

How many square feet is the area that you are planning to apply it to?

@@RomanMadVenturesTv Very, very little. Assuming you apply that water to an area of 4 square feet under a plant, the equivalent rate to what was shown in this video would be 0.2 grams/bucket if applied to 4 square feet. One teaspoon of borax holds approximately 3 grams. Hope this helps!
