I’m not sure if I have BV but I had a vaginal odor and used boric for 4 nights and it was gone after the first. Hello! So, BV is an overgrowth of bacteria, while a yeast infection is a fungal infection - BV can cause a fishy odor and yeast infections often present symptoms like irritation, redness, inflammation, and an itching sensation. From my personal experience with “feminine washes”, I have gotten irritated and it has caused more issues - I have instead used unscented body wash, like Dove, and I haven’t had any irritation with that. I would personally recommend consulting your healthcare provider regarding the irritation, I hope you feel better!

These are 2 different infections. Yeast infections are caused by a fungus. BV is caused by a bacteria. Therefore, treatment is different for both.
