For fun, I bought a book full of practice citizenship tests. The pass mark is 14/20 and there were 20 tests so I figured if I can pass 14 tests I would get citizenship. I passed 17.

What have most of these questions got to do with "British" Citizenship!!!?? What if the very practical day to day matters!? Who is the Prime Minister, who is the Mayor of London, what is the name if the National Tax Office, what are the School divisions in England, Who is the Prince of Wales etc. Divided into Essential, Legal, Social, Culture etc. What are the best accepted qualities of the English....?

This was interesting... there's a similar test in order to get the Spanish nationality, I should give it a try, maybe I'm being an impostor here! 😶😕😮 Also, these people are so open to taking a culture quiz when they go for a walk!

Well that invasion question is not correct for sure. The last successful invasion was by the Dutch stadtholder William III. in 1688, Yet He did kind of get invited over by a lot of English Nobility. That is maybe why history does not see it as an invasion Yet it was a Dutch Person that came from the Netherlands to England with boats. So if that doesn't count as an invasion I am not sure anymore.

I took this test online sometimes and passed only about half of them. I agree they're a bit history centred but even then they don't check a person's historical knowledge: note how the history buffs could really work the events out but still be (slightly) inaccurate. I won't probably sit for this test because I may not settle in Britain at all :/
