I'm not a confident public speaker ,unless it's something I'm passionate about ,always helps !!! Sometimes it's just better and healthier to be happy with how you are ,it's too difficult to change your personality!

My trick is indifference, anxiety comes from overthinking about things or considering them more important than they actually are. Indifference relaxes my nerves and helps me to concentrate on what I'm doing 😎 I would like to see more of you, Isi, and the rest of the Easy English staff 👌 Meanwhile I like the young man who convinced his class that he was the best candidate although he wasn't, he should go for a career in politics 😂

Interesting theory! Thanks for letting us know... I actually enjoyed giving my opinion but maybe it's also something for... a podcast? I agree about the younger person, he was very diplomatic

I think most people will agree with what Mitch said(admitting that you are not good at what you do..or the like). And making your self prepared or competent in what you do is another important thing.

What I do to have more confidence is the following: If I will say something in public, I prepare it well. Something very important is doing what you love and the next will be pleasant for you.

9:55 I completely understand this guy. I have a group of friends since 2020, and nowadays when I want to talk to them, I always get anxious and feel like I'm bothering them. That's something very annoying

@@EasyEnglishVideos As an interpreter and teacher/lecturer I do agree that wearing nice clothes that you like and make you look and feel good are one important factor. Knowing your stuff and being prepared is key as well!

Mitch, I really liked the way you gave your opinion(s) and do agree with everything you said :-). That dude (bloke, if you prefer) plugging his own book though was a bit too new age for me, very California I found.

Try to be honest with yourself about your skills and competences either way. For me I am a bit of an imposter syndrome person because I tend to downgrade my knowledge. But at the end of the day all this personality stuff does not matter so much. A zen master would say: No self, no problem.

@02:45 I think this young man confuses self-confidence with overestimation and arrogance. @08:56 Thus, which can easily bring you in places you shouldn't be in.
