But, wanting to sell high priced vehicles by the manufacturers is a business strategy to only benefit their profitability. The consumer and dealerships don't want to follow this strategy. Who wins? Guess.

That's a problem when the high priced vehicles are not selling.

He might be doing well with His European brands, but he is completely out of touch with their American audience. But then again, Ford & GM are not really doing much better.

Ford is doing fine, not sure what you heard. Car sales are slow becuase car ebinf made are just ugly and ave no performance models at a decen price. Couple this with high interest rates and you have what you have. The F150 and mustang is keeping for ahead of the rest.

They are done. Someone MAY purchase the Jeep name in the future just like Chrysler did. Chrysler killed AMC cars though some of them were innovative (Eagle AWD). I worked for Diamond Star Motors, the joint venture between Mitsubishi and Chrysler that was started in 1988. Incompetent management from both companies. We had a popular car at the time that no-one else had and a potentially very efficient plant that everyone was trying to copy at the time that could build multiple models on the same line, but they BLEW IT! Quality wasn't as good as it should have been and they lost the edge in style over the years.

So true with them jumping in bed with other companies without innovating much.

Canceling products early before replacements were ready.... They have a full line of compact and small cars in Europe already. It's not ideal to import them and have them tested and certified but given how well the Maverick has sold....

I had a Pacifica for a rental today. It reminded me of the quality level of my 1976 AMC Hornet. Cheap, uncomfortable seats. Therewas no effort to produce a sterring column cover next to the dash-it was just a piece of cloth. My old Ford Freestars were better built. No way I could afford or would buy such an overpriced car.

Well I did hear that Stellantis was rated as the top brand for diversity, equity and inclusion according to the Rainbow Coalition. No wodner they're failing tremendously.
@keepmovin1320Ай бұрын
The only way Stellantis' American brands could possibly be saved is by bringing in someone from America to run the CDJR brands who has knowledge of the market, and pay Tavares the remainder of his contract and give him the boot
@DWH300Ай бұрын
Considering Chrysler has only one vehicle remaining. The Pacifica. Stellantis decided to allow Tim Kuniskis to install their High emissions, low MPG Hemi engines in every model of Dodge with zero R&D for new models. Now that they have invested billions in their EVs like the new Charger Battery versions and their apparently more efficient Hurricane Ice engines. Companies are in business to make profits. Maybe the US isn't the market for the full line of Cars, SUVs and trucks Stellantis is offering. All their sales increases came from their decade old Hemi Dodge Challenger and Charger because many younger buyers empied their bank accounts to purchase these vehicles. Now they have been discontinued so Stellantis is counting on their New EV and hybrid lineup and hope they don't fail like the Dodge Hornet. It's hard to see a future for Chrysler and possibly Dodge if they keep trying to sell Dodge as only a performance vehicle. From the recalls I'm seeing . Their focus should be on building better vehicles at competitive prices. Maybe it's time to stop worrying only about performance and focus on building better vehicles creating both base models for those looking for a less expensive vehicle and premium models for those that like options in their vehicles while keeping the lineups smaller and more competitive.

@@roman9762 well why are all the manufacturers rolling back this EV mandate? I get they are the future but just not at the rate they wanted them to grow.
@roman9762Ай бұрын
@@jgboys1 If you knew anything about tech, you would know it's all about China. The reason there has been a pause is not for the redneck reasons the clueless like to state about EVs. It is only because 95% of all lithium comes from China along with the chips that are used in not only EVs, but all new tech. If you pay attention, you'll see that the US has increased subsidies for chip manufacturers to bring the production stateside along with new channels of battery tech and lithium mining. Once that is in full swing stateside, the EV push will be ten fold. By 2030, it will be 90% EV only on the market. Let me guess you no longer use pneumatic or gas tools where possible and have switched to Milwaukee, Makita, etc. for power tools? It's all shifting that way unless you live in a barn. Those of us who saw this coming have made a lot of money off NVIDIA and the likes.
